Biggest issue I have with this idea is that I'd have to take over 200 pictures with an ofc sign and submit them ALL.... Second.... By that system a 55" musky is worth the same as a 5" perch or a 10" bass.... All this system will show is who has the time to be submitting pics and info all year.... Someone can catch 1 little perch every day and register and get more points then someone who gets 100 nice bass every Saturday because its 1 point per species per day.... I like the idea of change and I think if we all put our heads together we can figure something out....

Yup... I'd have to travel for great lakes trout... Non Great Lakes trout... Quality Cats... Salmon... And Whitefish... So if I don't bust my behind to get these species there's no musky that'll make up those inches....
-
Just a heads up... Cabelas has some great deals on right now... I just spent $157 for $280 worth of gear.... Best deals are on cloths...
-
I like the team format... But on the other hand it didn't help me meet anyone new or fish for new species.... It was fun... But I know personally an individual tournament would motivate me to learn new techniques and travel to new places and fish new species... Wich represents the site and the sport as well....

Very cool

I think either way lets get them started now... As in let people take pictures now and hopefully the threads are set up in a few weeks to enter pics.... We can still decide to keep it the same or add individuals as well... Same picture logo....

Very true... But everyone has some advantages/disadvantages.... Like you'll get a big walleye for sure.... And you can get whities.... Pike... Perch... Crappie.... Lakers.... And your fairly close to unreal musky... Not everyone will have the ability to fish for every catagory.... Like I'd have to travel for non-Great Lakes trout... Great Lakes trout... and whities.... Everything else I can catch in my area... Not the biggest... But they're here...

I thought an individual tourney would be great.... It would encourage anglers to travel to fill all species... Which might result in some meetings between members to help each other out with tricky species.... And it gets anglers to try new styles of fishing for "new to them" fish... I know it would probably get me to do 2-3 more trips this year... Any thoughts...???

Aren't people rescued from an avalanche when there are warnings charged for the rescue....??? I agree it doesn't make sense to charge em.... But fisherman (as far as i know) aren't the first and only to be charged rescue fees...

Yup.... Not a wise way to go about ice safety.... I use judgment every day I'm on the ice.... Ill even spud my way out a mile even when I see others out there.... Unless I know its safe I check for myself... And if I'm wrong and need emergency support.... Ill deal with the consaquences laid out before me... Better then the alternative... A Rousseau Popsicle......

Yup... My truck was plowing with the bumper/grill in the driveway... Lol Lots of stuck cars and lots of folks willing to help push.... Went from almost no snow to 4 foot snow banks... The street plows are just now starting to catch up in my neighborhood and I live across the road from the hospital.... Lots of abulances going out today too... SLOW DOWN in these conditions please..... Go figure... My brother just sold his Ski-Doo.... Lol

It's not the original I replaced the battery a couple years ago....

Check... Lol

So stuck died today...lol...been using the wife's car for holiday visiting... So I charged it up and got it started.... When running I was getting 14.7 volts... Does that mean my alternator is good... I'm thinking so....
-
It's a 2005 F-150 FX4 5.4L Thank for all this info... At least there's some things I can try.... Gunna start with pulling fuses because that sounds easy enough and might show us where the possible short is... Also ill check the alternator... Do I just see how many volts its putting out while running??? If so How many should I have??? I know this is one of those "could be 100 different things"...things... That's why I wanna try to figure it out or ill end up spending a $1000 bucks at a shop for the mechanic to take a guess....

I do... It's easy... I use the photobucket app.. You upload your pic to photobicket.... Then copy the IMG code... Then past it in your post... I find it easier to post with my phone instead of camera to computer to photobucket to OFC.....
-
I didn't even consider that... There might be some scales plugging up the pump... I guess I should stop using my washer fluid reservoir as an ice fishing live well... Frozen fish from now on... Thanks a million skip.... ...........

Thanks guys... Maybe ill get my brother to help me out then... He's an electrician.... Hopefully it's a simple system we can require ourselves.... Or something I don't need untill its warmer out like A/C....

Just wondering if anyone else experiences what I am and if they know of a solution.... All spring summer and fall all is good.... But come December I have to put my truck on the charger once a week untill February or I run the risk of running out of juice... My truck hardly warms up on the drive to work (5-10 minutes) and I only use it for work and fishing.... But I don't know anyone else that has to charge their vehicle... That deive less then I do... Anyone else experience this? Any solutions? Anyone know (ballpark) how long it takes to charge what you lose while starting? I've had this issue since I got my truck 4-5 years ago... And have replaced the battery twice... Thanks for any help Mike...

If you have an iPhone.... Get the navionics app
-
If you have a pop up you might wanna put all 4 when its windy....
-
They screw in... I've never had a problem.... The softer the ice the easier it is.... Cold dry black ice chips and breaks a bit.... But eventually the ice anchors will grab.... And you only need 1 or 2 on the side of the hut getting hit with wind.... I usually only use one on my flip over so it doesn't blow away when I'm checking my tip up...

As far as I know "albino rainbow" trout are actually called palomino and are a different species/strain.... There are lakes with fair populations of these trout.... ...
-
I do it by hand... Not a big deal... But hears the tool... You can order parts and accessories direct from Clam... http://clamoutdoors.com/ice_fishing/http-clamcorp-com-ice-fishing-shelter-acc/tools-shovel/ice-anchor-installation-tool.html

Anyone surprised???? With this obvious pattern I'm surprised they get anyone.... It happens every holiday.... Why not fill up ahead of time...? I mean I get it... It sucks if your gunna burn more then a tank traveling... My truck, car, snowblower and boat are all full with an extra tank in the shed..... Also.... I don't think the extra $5-15 bucks a tank will ruin anyone's holidays.... A 10 cent change means $13 more a tank if I'm on fumes with my F-150.... I wish gas prices we be more stable as well... But I doubt that'll happen... So I buy low and try to keep it full until the price goes up... Then burn what i have until it drops again....
