I might be heading out to St. Catherines tomorrow, and I'll be near Fifteen and Sixteen Mile Pond. Does anybody know what species would be in those bodies of water?

I'm more impressed with your Wendy's meal, than with your report, actually.

where to buy daiwa steez rods in toronto area, and loomis
ADB replied to a topic in General Discussion
I know you said except Le Baron... But we're currently offering 20% off all in-stock Loomis rods, FYI. -
$100 for the combo, or $100 for each piece?

From Oshawa to the Markham store should take you about 30-35 minutes. Just take the 401 to the 404, get off at Steeles and go straight through the lights onto Woodbine. We'll be on the East (right) side, just after the Costco. Come in, Mike, and ask for me - I'll show you around.

Lol - I didn't make this post so the store can sell product. I don't work on commission, and I don't have any sales quotas to meet. Just simply letting the community know about the new catalogue

We received our shipment of the fall catalogues today at the Markham store, so come in and pick up your copy. Ice fishing, guns/ammo/hunting gear/new Irish Setter boots, winter clothing/Canada Goose Parkas/boots, etc.

For shakey heads, I prefer to use a lighter weight, something like 3/16 or 1/8. This allows for a slower fall, and allows more movement from the bait itself. The Gambler Giggy Stick is a great on the shakey head, or even an oversized grub like Zoom Fat Albert can be deadly. Even though it may be meant for a "lighter" worm, I've had great success using stick worms like Yum Dingers of Gambler Aces on the shakey head as well. Although "shaking" the worm with your rod tip is the point of the technique, I've got many fish while hopping, with the fish generally striking on the fall. My favourite shakey head jig is Northland's Jungle Shakey Jig: http://www.northlandtackle.com/Category/ma...=337&pc=241

I'm looking to rent a certain movie tonight that Rogers/Blockbuster don't seem to stock. Does anyone know of any places in the Richmond Hill/Thornill/Markham general area that has a good selection of movies to rent? Thanks for any tips.

Hey everyone - My brother is heading up to Wasaga for his prom, and they're staying right on the river. http://www.wasagariverresort.com/map.html He was just curious what would be in that section of the river - is it worth bringing a rod up? I've never fished the Notty before, so besides the trout runs, I'm not too sure what else would be in that specific stretch. Thanks,

Sam Kinison it is...thanks Musky or Specs.

My dad was trying to think of the name of this certain comedian, but he can't seem to remember. This is the description of the guy: Wore long, leather coats Yelled a lot in his acts Possibly Jewish Wore knitted hats He's dead Can anybody think of who this is???

Ever consider renting a boat? You'll have many more options, and probably better luck.

There's a public dock in Gore's Landing (Rice Lake). It's just beside Plank Road Marina, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

Looking to head to Scugog on Wednesday. I've searched online, but haven't been able to find much in terms of rentals. I did rent out of Port Perry two years ago, but I wasn't impressed with that marina, nor the section of the lake. Any recommendations?

Funny you mention that Billy Bob, because I picked up some black/purple bucktails at BPS for this Monday/Tuesday. Thanks for the tip. We will be fishing for walleye, but I'm sure we'll get some bass, and I'd rather have a tooth pulled than go through the whining that comes with posting pictures of OOS fish
-
Thanks for all in the info, guys. I'll probably pick one up. We've got two cars at home, so it definitely worth it.
-
Thanks...I'm sure we will. Hopefully the rain holds off. We had decent success for bass there last summer. More numbers than size though.

Anyone know the price of this thing? They don't advertise the price anywhere. http://retail.petro-canada.ca/en/formycar/3181.aspx Figured I'd take a shot here first, since I'm on. If no one knows, then I'll have to go by a gas station and ask them.

The link isn't working anymore. Just me? EDIT: Nevermind...figured it out. To me, it doesn't show any signs of being a scam, besides what bassboy said about the registration number. Usually the scam ads feature bad spelling and grammar, and most importantly, a negotiable price. If this boat was hot, or whatever, he would take what he could get to sell it fast, and not have a 'FIRM" price.

Well, my last exam - finally - is this coming Monday morning. (Take pity on me...I had to endure the York strike). The exam should be done by 11, so right after my buddy and I are heading to Lower Buckhorn, and then coming back the next evening. We're launching/staying at Bay View Resort. (West shore of Deer Bay). Plus, we're gonna have a chance to try out my buddy's brand new Yamaha 9.9. Should be a great way to say goodbye to the school year!

Thanks for the report. Thinking of heading there June 1st and 2nd, actually.

Thanks. None in the forecast...yet lol.
