Exactly what I recommended on an earlier thread Wayne. Take the course and certify it yourself and then make some money with it. I am WETT certified but have yet to do an inspection. But I have it just in case.

That pale white and olive green Burbot photo is the nicest that I've seen by far. Makes them almost look pretty. Hope to hook up this August if it's in the cards.

There's several hotel chain developments being built here right now. Apparently there's a demand for rooms? The company that I work for has a Holiday Inn job complete with a pool right now as well. And there's a few more on the drawing table. Just because you don't stop over here doesn't mean that the rest of the planet doesn't. Thunder Bay is a strong union town. The Marriott job is just another example of non union fly by nighters expecting to come into town and leave with pockets full of cash. They may get away with substandard workmanship elslewhere, but not here. And the union quality thing? The non union contractors that come here do pathetic work and are often chased out of town. The company that I work for has done many fixes after the scabs have left. The Marriott scandal is one of the biggest non union issues that have ever occured here. I heard that none of the (non union) sub contractors will never be paid. The place is sinking and the floors are cracking daily. Is that how things work in Oshawa? Cuz they sure don't work that way up here.

This kind of shoddy workmanship would never fly here in Thunder Bay. Apparently our standards are amongst the highest in the country. There's a new multi million $ Marriott hotel here that has just been completed and word on the street is that it will never open. It's sinking. It was built by a bunch of non union fly by night contractors from Toronto. Stay home and build your crap in Toronto. We build with union quality up here.

Mossberg if you can find one. I've owned a couple of them for 40 years and they've been used and abused without any problems. Sounds like you are looking for a 20 guage for what you are planning to do with it. I'd never part with my Mossberg 20 guage.

I don't watch movies (haven't watched one in ten years) but if my live sports event is not available at game time, look out. I'm not ashamed to say that I piggy back my bell expressvu account between 4 other users which makes my cost 1/4 of what it should be. Everyone that I know does this. Works for me.

The best bounce we could get, and it won't happen tonight, is to get rid of Carlyle. He has no idea how to coach a pro sports team. Absolutely no idea at all.

Glad to see you changed your mind. A couple of years ago I tried to convince you that talking on a cell while driving was a bad idea, and you would have none of it, because you could do it without an issue.

It's been a while since I've been on the board. I've been all over the north of the province in the past two weeks. Red Lake, Terrace Bay, Dryden, and then some. Fortunately I've only had to drive past two highway deaths on this highway to hell in that time. The last one was yesterday morning when a 24 year old kid was killed out outside of Dryden. I saw the rig piled into a rock cut, but there was no sign of the car that the kid was in. Anyways, on to my Leafs thoughts. #1. Carlyle has to go. There's no reason that this club should be this bad defensively. Carlyle has done nothing to improve this. And yes, the talent is there. #2. The Leafs are a young talented team that are a few years away from reaching their prime. They are one of the youngest teams in the league and I think that they have a bunch of key players that will be reaching their prime at the same/right time. #3. Players being thrown under the bus by either Carlyle or Leafs fans. Reimer comes to mind first. Carlyle has completyely destroyed Reimer. Carlyle has a habit of dislikng a player and putting that before the team. If Reimer had lost tonights game, for example, Carlyle would have blamed him. Apparently it's ok when Bernier lets in a floater from the blue line. Bottom line here is that yes, Bernier should be the starter, but it would be nice to have a backup whose confidence wasn't destroyed by the coach. Second on my list is Dion being bashed by the fans. What more do you want from him? I'm sure that I don't have to mention that he is amongst the teams plus minus leaders while playing the most minutes per game against the leagues best lines. Yes he's no Drew Doughty, Shea Weber or Erik Karlson (sp), But the Leafs would be a lesser team without him. Bottom line is that no team can be the best forever. It looks to me like both Pittsburgh and |Chicago are showing signs of fading. And I think that the Leafs are going in the other direction. But yes. Carlyle has to go.

You should apply for Carlyles job then with those stats. Funny you should mention the shots that Bernier gets against him, but not Reimer.

Agree Bill. But somewhere along the line, the floaters from the blue line that Bernier has let in have been forgotten. Not to mention his puck handling blunders that have cost a few goals. Bernier is our #1 now. That I agree with. But Carlyle has terribly mismanaged the fact the we have (had) two #1 goalies. His defensive coaching abilities totally suck. We have no defense at all.

Funny how Bernier let in 9 goals in two back to back games (including one that he practically scored on himself) after the olympics, and he is the next thing to a goaltending God now. I just dont get it.

Please give me any kind of wet weather. I;ll take it. Tired of January weather in late March..

Leafs make the playoffs, Reimer is gone. Leafs don't make the playoffs, Carlyle is gone. Carlyle has a history of throwing players under the bus. Personally I'd like to see Carlyle gone. Theres no way that a team with this much talent can be so bad defensively without some sort of game plan. Apparently there is no such plan in Leafs land. The Leafs have a bunch of young fast skating defensemen, with no direction. The offence is clearly talented enough to handle itself. Dump Carlyle and get someone in there that can put up a defensive plan. The sooner the better Imho.

If the game ends up 1 nothing, the Reimer naysayers will blame the loss on him. Too many rebounds.
