  1. Another nice report, looks like a great time. Nice fish too.
  2. Looks like a fun day ! Love the topwater bassing! Sorry about your prop tho.
  3. On one of Bob Izumi's (I think) early shows he put a piece of spoonge inside the tube and put the scent in, he said it last longer. He also put a bit of alka-selzer in the tube to make it bubbly. I personal never try it...don't know if it works better or not.
  4. Hey good luck with the musky fishing . Our family will be making our annual trip to the West Arm in say...18 days and 7 hours...Can't wait!!! Where's Promised Land Camp??? Bring some wire leaders too, the northern pike are alway hungry for your plugs and spinnerbaits. Have a great time. :thumbsup_anim:
  5. I always do...not only that I wanna catch my fish and save lure...the loose lure is gonna be dangling on the fish for a few days...kinda awkward on the fish I think.
  6. Over a month vacation...Good for you!!! :thumbsup_anim: Serbia? Isn't this the part of the world where they have these GIANT walleye??? Have a great holiday!!!
  7. Wow nice Lakers and Walleye. Looks like a GREAT time. Thanks for posting.
  8. Part II makes me hungry with all the shore lunch pix!!! Thanks again for taking us there.
  9. I'll second that. We found some small crappie behind Sugar island by the Indian River, and the kids were catching them with the beetle spinners. You really don't have to go far as good walleye and bass fishing to be had near Serpend Mounds, or go across to the other side to White Island / Dunnette Landing area for some good bass action. P.S. Bring topwater lures too for the evening bite. Good fishing.
  10. Very sorry to hear about your buddy... I feel for you man! It has been almost twenty years before I decided to adopt another one...My condolences, take care yourself. Our Bentley he's 7...
  11. Where on Rice are you gonna be Ace? What are you after? Bass and Walleye fishing was pretty good couple of weeks ago, don't let the heavy covers scare you, slowly present your texas whatever will catch you largies. The walleye seemed to be quite active as the sun is going down in the evening...the chartreuse/white spinnerbait produced for us for both species this time of the day. And there's alway the scrappy crappy to keep you busy. Good fishing, let us know how you do.
  12. Great report and nice pix! Sorry to hear about your combo! I think before long you're gonna have whole closet full of rods and reels ... Best luck with the finals too! Good fishing.

  15. Your report reminds me why I love bass fishing so much! Thanks for sharing. Good fishing!
  16. Wow...best thing I read all day :clapping: Nice pix too. Thanks for sharing!
  17. An unmarked small area of shallow rocks (2.5'-3') outside the first bay on the west side north of Harrington Narrows. One decent size musky follow-up yesterday just outside the rocks but no cigar. Try the small isles near Emerald on Buckhorn tho, if you're after the musky. Good fishing. BTW...a few dead carp were sighted on the lake(s) as well.
  18. Don't do it! I learned my lesson the hard way :wallbash: . I'm going back to metal stuff.
  19. :thumbsup_anim: Looks like a great time, a piece of paradise on earth for you for the week. Thanks for the great report too Mike. :thumbsup_anim:

  21. Thanks very much Zamboni for the charts... that was very nice of you
  22. thanks guys. Steve (PF): The glastron is gone ! I bottomed out on a rock on the pike open'r, big gash on the bottom , the skeg was chipped, and the transom was half ripped out the cost for repair was around 2Gs, so I sold the trailer and the 115 merc and gave away the boat. Got this tin can for the time being...certainly miss the bass boat tho.
  23. Hi, Just got back from a few days of fishing … started off at Buckhorn, and Cameron Lake with mediocre results . Then came home and packed up the kids on Tuesday and went over to Rice Lake to a rental cottage near White Island . The weather was hot and so was the fishing… it was almost non-stop action since we started fishing Wednesday morning, quantities wise, not a lots of big fish but tons of smaller aggressive bass. The kids won’t jig or flip for bigger fish, almost all the fish they caught were on horizontal running lures…the spinnerbait, topwater, and subsurface plugs. I thought fishing would be a little slower on Thursday since the coldfront was pushing through, but that was not the case, after some non-fishing activities in the morning, we were on the water in the afternoon for some more fishing. This time I was using the Senko, thought the fishing was slower…after going through two bags of these plastic baits, we boated no less then 30 fish. Double Header Sheldon got this on his lucky spinnerbait (chartreuse and white) Black crappies and little walleyes for "in between" fish Robyn’s walleye Have a great long weekend folks. Hope the fishing for you was as fun as for us, good fishing!!!
