  1. As any experienced angler can see, when it comes to ice rod/reel combos there seems to be a lot of junk out on the market!......But, the other day I noticed that Ugly Stick had a pretty sweet-lookin' set-up, and am wondering if any fellow anglers have had the oppourtunity to try these units out?
  2. I'll have to make up for it next time!
  3. Seems to be alot of recent skunkings lately......myself included!
  4. Well, can't really "guarantee" you fish anywhere, but I can say that you do have a much better chance of catching something with a little bit more girth to it than you do at Crooked!
  5. Come fishing with me WormDangler!..........I'll show you some new spots on that lake!
  6. What kind of action did they have???..........Just straight up and down pretty much?
  7. Picked up afew of these last year but didn't really have a chance to give 'em a whirl, look pretty good tho?........Any fellow anglers out there ever tried these?
  8. White Swedish Pimple with the orange sticker+piece of minnow= Lakers!
  9. I think it so funny how one lure can work so good for one angler, then totally not for another.....The Pimple and you is kinda like me and the Cleo......LOL!
  10. In my personal opinion, catching and releasing trout probably kills most of them, espescially during the hardwater season..
  11. Great thread with lots of good input!
  12. I'll have to see.....But I think these spoons just might rival the "old faithful" Swedish Pimple?
  13. Which color pattern worked best for you?
  14. IGot to try these spoons out on some early season splake, they were definitely a hit!.......Can't wait to try them on other species during the hardwater season, might just have a new go-to bait!
  15. I got some from Cabelas online..
  16. As of now, I've found the Berkley Fireline the best for the winter, I guess because it's "fused" and not "braided"?
  17. Exactly what I was thining.....powerpro has a pretty good illustation!
  18. My buddy has one a trip to Goulais Lake for four, and has been kind enough to invite the wife and I to come along! I'm just curious as to know if anyone on this forum has been there, or knows somebody who has, and how good the angling actually was, species caught, techniques, etc., etc.....
  19. Picked myself up a spool of this today, can't wait to try it out, just wondering if anyone else has tried it?
  20. I was thinking of doing the same, but a freind of mine told me that I was better off to use the conventional insulalation as it would be easier to access wiring in case I ever had to do some electrical work.....just a thought.
  21. I just checked on Cabelas, and they make one that is 1/16oz.
  22. That would be the 1/4 oz.?........smaller than that I think it's called the FORAGE MINNOW.
  23. What make/model is your ride?
  24. Next time you catch and fillet a trout, take the belly portion (which is cut off anyways) and slice it into thin strips about an inch long or so, salt it, and use this for tipping your lures!
  25. Yup, I've got a pretty good arsenal of those buckshots as well, ranging from the 3/4oz. down to the 1/4oz. one...
