Was real fun to finaly get out and enjoi some of quebecs best winter days! COLD COLD COLD BUT sunny! we went on the whitefish hunt ended up getting OOS lakers...... good thing i got that single BEAST! tho. totally different fighters than lakers. now the good part enjoying a good OL FEAST OF THE BEAST! they gave me two monster fillets ! thanx for the great advice guys! hope oyu enjoi LEECHMANS REPORT! next time we will try deeper and try to find the school of them! that is if we can! that lake is enfested with LA GRISE!!!!!! till next time! 24/7

i caught a nice Whtiefish(coregone)(DU BLANC) today and to my surprize it had the Y bone ! how do you guys fix this fish? fillet like a pike or is there any other tricks or tips you can give me? thanx!

HMMMM. would the sun affect the bite? On the ice i mean?! maybe for trout.... finiky fish. for pike and bass (qc) side light atracks them.... always had a good day when it was sunny! never tried for trout .... closed during the winter time !

HOLY MOLY PAN FISH FRENZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a sun fish BONUS! 2 bad the pike werent cooperating! what were the size of the minnow??? must have been funny to fish @ the same time that a truck was sticking out of the bay! HAHAHAHA maybe the oil and the gas SPOOKED the fish awaY! what area did you fish jaques??? keep those dead minnows for our WHITE FISH outting !

i was jigging once and my last tip-up went down ... While running i threw my scooper.... SWISH!! right into one of my holes... had to de-ice the holes with a tim horton"S cup the rest of the day!

tip-up. i suggest you hit the place where you were catching the pike late in the falls... iv found out that pike are territorial and will not move from there last spot in LATE falls. we were RIGHT over a salad bar mixed with some angel hair weed bed. put the minnow right above the bed not IN! the smallies were @ the weed lines IN 20 - 25 FOW. its the first time we fished this lake early like this last year the samllies were in 30 - 40 FOW. off a rocky point drop off. im thinking they go deeper as the ice fishing goes. hope you gets some on the jigging rods. i jigged all day without anything. BIG DEAD SHINNERS was the key. give them time to swallow the bait and you will have success.! your a better jigger than me so tell me what happens after your outting. id love to get some info off of you. IE: what was working what dept and what not. i know its diff. from lake to lake but still good to know! Keep me updated!
