Don't know if it is confirmed or not but apparently the gunman was asking people their religon prior to shooting them. I am not sure what that really means and won't speculate but if it is true it might explain a motive.

MNR have been oiling goose eggs in problem areas for years, I think it's stupid! we have people going hungry all over the world and here they kill a free food source. Instead of sending coats to Siria, we should be sending them geese!
-
Because when you pour gas on them and toss a match they turn into dogs! (It's true, seen it with my own eyes, pour gas, toss a match, they go WOOF)
-
Just give them a one way ticket to Syria, keep their passports, and then bomb the snot out of them!
-
It disappoints me but it doesn't surprise me! I see so many abuses and there just aren't enough COs to cover the area. I at least thought someone would phone me back especially after I told her I had a picture of the guy and the boat.

Wynne is the biggest joke ever played on Canada! What a sick puppy that one is!
-
Well, the first guy knew he wasn't legal because as soon as I told him I was calling MNR, he headed out as fast as he could go! The second two were a little too far away and they didn't even shut the motor off but I did stand out on the deck where I hope they saw me giving them the Bignell good luck salute. ! ! (one for each of them)

Well, I guess my shooting at ducks from shore would be illegale too then would it? Especially if the ducks are between me and a boat that was shooting at them! (no, I wouldn't do it) but it sure makes me mad that these idiots feel the need to kill something so badly that they will run around in boats blasting at ducks on the water with 12 gauges. These are the idiots that give "sportsmen" a bad name.
-
Thanks! Like I said, she didn't seem to know much of anything! man, I am so mad!
-
Well, both these boats had motors attached but when I talked to the lady at MNR she told me that wasn't for waterfoul, That only applied to moose hunting which was Federal where as migratory birds were under provincial rules. Please prove her wrong! I have no tolerance for people thet drive boats that are faster than birds can fly then stop and shoot the birds! If you are that hungry, my name is Cliff, my wife's name is Sue, come here and we will feed you for as long as we have anything to share!

Well I have been here 14 years and I've never seen anyone do this before but now it's twice in one day; two guys in a big lund just drove by and out came the shot gun, you got it, shooting from a moving boat at ducks on the water. Is there no honor in hunters anymore? We would never shoot at a duck on the water in my day, it wasn't sportsman like! Makes me want to give up hunting all together, I don't even want to be associated with like that!
-
Lord help us if that happens? Had a good talk with some friends yesterday, they feel much like I do, why bother wasting my time or my gas to go and vote for what?

I was just down at my dock and a guy comes along in a small aluminum motor boat, drives up to a flock of ducks that were feeding, stops his motor, picks up his shotgun and opens up on them! I yelled at him that it was illegal and he said he had checked with the ministry and as long as he stopped his motor it was ok. I did call MNR but the lady I talked to didn't seem to know if there was a problem or not, I did get a picture of him as he sped away and left my name, address, and phone number with MNR but I'm not even sure they will follow up. The guy was about 250' away from my dock, shooting back toward shore at ducks on the water (something I would never have done unless it was wounded and I couldn't get it otherwise) and his gun had to have been loaded while he was traveling (again I always thought that was a no no)! Have the rules changed or am I just old and cranky?

I have used one very similar to that and it was fantastic. Add some tomato paste if you want to give it some color. BTW, this proportations well so cut it in half or double and it still works.

OK so we can all get rich, we just have to start OFC restorante! These dishes are spectacular and worthy of any fine dining establishment! I really do wish that I could try each and every one of them but there are just too many "speciality" dishes for that to happen! You guys are all amazing!

Sorry about that I actually don't measure but anything around that is fine, Start with about 1/4 cup on your first batch then adjust to taste after that

FOR WHO? They are all the same!

I think I might have posted it before

Slice it about 1/2" thich once it is dehydrated it crumbles quite well, I've never ground it. Store it in a zip lock bag and just squeeze out as much air as you can, it will keep for years.

French Onion Soup: 6 Tbsp. Butter 2 -2 1/2 Lbs. onions sliced 1 Tbsp. sugar 2 Tbsp Flour 1/2 Tsp. salt 1/4 Tsp. pepper 8 cups beef broth (I prefer to make my own but using OXO or whatever works well too) 3 cups crutons 2 cups Grated Gruyere Cheese (but you can use Swiss/Mozzarella mix instead) In a large sauce pan: Sauté onions and sugar in the butter until golden brown, add flour, salt, and pepper, stir and cook for about 3-4 minutes. Add beef broth, bring to a boil then cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Ladle into soup bowls, add some crutons, top with cheese and broil until cheese is golden. Now, the one thing I do that you won't be able to do is I add 1/4 cup dehydrated puff ball mushroom to mine which is what gives it that "different" flavor. Even without the puff ball this is a very acceptable French Onion Soup.

I have been dehydrating them for many years now and it is a super way to preserve them for later use in soups and stews, I always add about 1/2 a cup when I make a pot (about 4 servings) of my French onion soup and everyone loves it!

Strike one for Goodyear! Got in Sue's Toyota the other day, saw the warning light on for low tire pressure. Looked at the tire and it seemed ok so I drove it to the Toyota dealership. They took a look and found a nail in the side wall of the tire. They replaced the tire and when I went to pay they informed me it was covered as "road hazzard", no charge! Love Toyota, anyone else would have dinged me $300.00 for a new tire and labour. -
a little prayer from anyone is appreciated

Puff balls aren't out yet, it's been too warm and dry, start looking in about another week, they need the cooler damp weather.
