So very true! π’

Wow, it sure has! For an area that relies almost totally on tourism this is going to hit them really hard. We have our place reserved for next winter but if we do end up having to cancel we only loose $40.00 so I can live with that. In the campground we stay at a lot of owners rely on rental income to help defer the cost of lot fees, maintenance, and insurance; without that income I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of places on the market at very reduced prices. I feel really bad for them we got to be friends with many of them. I pray this ends soon or I fear we could see a huge depression.

Well, my gas milage was good but now I am getting about 4 weeks to the gallon. I have a feeling it's going to take a lot of years to get back to what we considered normal. (If we ever do) All these billions of dollars being poured into aid packages are going to have to be recovered somehow, can you say higher taxes? Higher taxes = less money in our pockets, we still have to have food and shelter so things like new cars are going to be the last thing people will be spending money on. I am sorry to say but I don't think the effects of this pandemic are going to last months or even years, I think it's going to change our entire way of life.

I just had a wonderful easter egg hunt. I hid them yesterday and sure enough this morning I found the note I had left for myself on the fridge telling me there was one. Now I wish I had left a map of where I hid the darn things. This getting old is kind of fun sometimes π€ Whoops, just found another one LOL π

I go to my Toyota dealership too, they recommend every 8000 km for oil. I have never had a problem!

Send me the make modle and serial # of your motor, I will have him check and see if they have them in stock or can get them.

Well maybe my GICs at 1.6% aren't such a bad investment right now π

Did you manage to find a source for your prop seals and O rings? My son is a marine engine mechanic and might be able to get them for you, they have been designated an essential service because they service OPP and MNR equipment so he is working on a call in basis.

And you are so right, when I was younger I did invest in other things, I guess I am loosing with the cost of inflation, but because I am maxed out on TSFAs and when Sue passed away I inherited hers as well a large portion of the intrest I earn is non taxiable and doesn't count as income. I do have some shares that pay decent dividends but I do like sleeping at night LOL.

Ya, he was a bit of a character but I enjoyed many of his posts. Hope he does come back for a visit.

Well right now I am making 1.6% on a 1 year term not great but at least I am making and its guaranteed. I feel sorry for the people who had their money in mutual funds and were relying on the income for retirement.

I hear you Dan, my daughter has been battling nonhodgkins lymphoma for years now, her immune system is shot from all the chemotherapy, my son has ulcerative colitis, his immune system is compromised, he just turned 50 (once in a lifetime thing) I wanted to be with him so much but wouldn't gamble........ I want so much to be with them but I'm stuck sitting here by myself praying that they stay safe.

I just heard today that they may close zone 17 this spring, they are worried too many people will go fishing and they haven't got the staff to police all the access points.

Do you have a couple of the old wire coat hangers? Could you fashion some sort of a bracket out of those? -

I got nervous a few years ago and move my investments into TSFAs and GICs the idea being that I could survive on what I had but IF something happened loosing my principle could leave me in trouble. At my age I knew I couldn't afford to wait for markets to recover and I would have no way to rebuild my portfolio. I am sure glad I did now, my returns aren't great but at least I am still on the plus side of the equation π

Well, if it's a Jeep just keep driving it until there's a big puff of smoke, a loud bang, and it stops suddenly. It's going to happen at some point anyway so why spend money on oil changes. Just kidding, cabin feaver is starting to set in. I am sure Dan will have a much better answer and I would trust his adviceπ

Fart Football An old married couple no sooner hit the pillows when the old man passes gas and says, 'Seven Points.' His wife rolls over and says, 'What in the world was that?' The old man replied, 'its fart football.' A few minutes later his wife lets one go and says, 'Touchdown, tie score...' After about five minutes the old man lets another one go and says, 'Aha. I'm ahead 14 to 7.' Not to be outdone the wife rips out another one and says, 'Touchdown, tie score.' Five seconds go by and she lets out a little squeaker and says, 'Field goal, I lead 17 to 14.' Now the pressure is on for the old man. He refuses to get beaten by a woman, so he strains real hard. Since defeat is totally unacceptable, he gives it everything he's got, and accidentally poops in the bed. The wife says, 'What the hell was that?' The old man says, 'Half time, switch sides
