  1. This guy is completely oblivious. https://www.facebook.com/guyhumorofficial/videos/302972826814468/?hc_ref=NEWSFEED
  2. Go after the truck driver for the difference as well as a few shekels for your trouble, pain and suffering. OH, and just so you know it will be the truck drivers insurance that will actually be paying for the loss of your truck. Talk to your insurance people (this is when it's really handy to have a broker) that you want to replace what you had and not be out $$$ after this is all taken care of. What happens is your insurance company pays you out and gets reimbursed by the at fault drivers insurance.
  3. Yes, Hardie is cement fiberboard siding. Each 12' X 8 3/4" piece weighs about 30#'s. I got a very good deal on it as my landlord had it sitting and wasn't using it. Paid 1/2 price or less for it.
  4. Ice is starting to thin out quite a bit. This was shot today. Plane is at the North end of the lake Looking South. 2 big sheets of ice hugging the West side of the main basin and a sheet of rotten ice in my bay @ the North end of the lake. If you look on the right side of the North bay just NE of the little lake on the point you'll see a little white dot. That's my cabin!!!!
  5. Here's one for ya. T'was yesterday's lunch. Applewood smoked bacon wrapped cream cheese poppers.
  6. Exactly!!! When I had a bearing issue this winter I knew it early and turned around to go back home. Limped it home on the shoulder and had it repaired a couple of hours later. It was nice of the people to let me know I had an issue with it as I was doing 10kph on the shoulder with my hazards on though.
  7. When I lived in Grand Valley in the 90's I was sitting in the livingroom watching TV when lightning hit the TV antenna!!!! That's about as close as you want to get. It blew up all of our phones, surround sound system, 2 garage door openers as well as some computer equipment and other items. It blew an aluminium disk off the top of the antenna (it was one of those round plastic ones). The disk landed in the back yard and there was a hole burned through it that was only 1/16" in diameter. A fraction of a second before the strike you could hear a loud buzz as the connection was being made and then flash, bang!!! At the same time. Was pretty wild!!!
  8. No I don't but they were on sale. I bought them for the Quickdraw as none of our waters are mapped.
  9. Just another typical spring in Yellerknife!!!
  10. My Echomap Chirp 93sv unit has a CV52HW-TM and my Echomap 74Ssv non-chirp unit came with a GT41-TM. They are different frequency units which is good for interference. Going to use the 74sv for navigation and the 93sv as a finder. The non-chirp ducer is twice the size of the chirp one.
  11. Yes, I have been using a pair for my 80# Minn Kota for several years. They work fine.
  12. Maybe Mrs. Wynne will let you borrow her $200K rubber one. http://www.ottawasun.com/2017/05/29/ontario-to-kick-off-150th-birthday-celebration-with-giant-inflatable-duck-costing-200gs?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook
  13. I have two big Garmin ones to install on my boat this weekend. Going to be fun trying to tune these things. My current skimmer transducer on my old Lowrance has no issue reading bottom in 300' at 35-40 MPH. My Elite 5 DSI loses bottom at 20 MPH. Hopefully these Garmins read at speed or I'm gonna have a whole herd of finders on my console!!!!
  14. Yep, they were out played for 50 minutes. No way they should have won. I have no idea how they could call that first goal offside when I couldn't tell on my big HD plasma but they could on an ipad.
  15. Tube jigs, flasher and fly, flatfish, spoons, swim baits...................................
  16. Installed correctly it's no different than regular shingles.
  17. Enjoy 3rd place Matt!!! WE'RE # 3!!!! WE'RE #3!!! YAY SENS!!!!!
  18. I'm putting standing seam metal roofing on my cabin. Most of the fasteners are hidden which reduces the probability of leaks. It should be still going strong long after I croak!!! They actually make coated metal shingles that look like architectural asphalt shingles but last way longer. Expect to pay a lot more for something like this though. http://www.westmansteel.ca/products/roofing/decra-r-shingle-xd-102/ This is the roofing product I purchased. http://www.westmansteel.ca/products/roofing/snap-loktm-roofing-panel-79/
  19. If you say that you wouldn't say exactly the same thing if it were the Leafs losing game 7 instead of the Sens you're a liar Matt!!! Now you know how we feel with your consant "witty" banter all year long.
  20. Where's Matt? I heard his buddy Justin declared a national day of mourning.
  21. Check Youtube they have videos on everything!!!!!!
  22. The sun is very low in the sky during those months and would mostly be blocked by trees and terrain. And it's only above the horizon for a few hours.
  23. Fixed er up for ya Matt. T'was a good run though.
  24. Problem is they won't get any sun at all in the late fall through early spring due to trees and rock hills.
  25. Does that mean most of it looks like buddies boat in the Trimmed Out Boats thread?
