  1. Got out again today. Temps were awesome nearly warmed up to -10!!!! Hit the trail at sunrise. It was nice and quiet as most of last nights party goers were fast a sleep as it was only 10:15. Got to my spot and started making some holes Even managed to catch a few fish, but no brutes today. Several fish in the 30"-32" range and about a dozen smaller fish. Time to pack er up and head home Into the evening sunset @ 3:15 Fished the whole day fron sun up to sun down. :tease:
  2. Maybe if you used a nice Strikemaster power auger instead of a spork you could get through a little faster.
  3. I give you this. "24 to 30" worth of clear black ice under the old sled. :tease:
  4. The only difference if the NHL had cheerleaders would be their location. Need to have a portable stage that rolled into the zamboni access area so as not having to lose all of those mega dollar ice level seats!!!
  5. Dang!!! That was a costly penalty huh?
  6. I have been using a Eureka expedition tent for nearly 10 years now and I have nothing but good things to say about it and the service offered by the company. My tent is an Alpenlite 2XT which is rated as a 2 man but would be tight for 2 full grown people. It's perfect for my dog and I though. I have used this tent from Ontario to The NWT to Alaska in all seasons and have been very happy with it's performance. I have even used it in Yellowknife in January!!!!!!! If I needed a 4 season tent for 2 people I would have no hesitation buying thier K-2 XT model. Another very good winter tent is The Arctic Oven. A lot of people I know in Alaska swear by them.
  7. I remembered to pick up some on my latest trip to the US. Look!!! It's a rumpamid!!!!!
  8. Yeah, I got over $200 worth of goodies for under $100.
  9. Another vote for the Pilot here. Pulls my 18 footer like it's not even there. Good vehicle and reasonable gas mileage.
  10. The G-man was too busy checking his skate laces. I saw that as a clean hit and did not deserve a penalty let alone an ejection. One of the on ice officials even told Camara that it was a clean hit. The other, the elbow to the head was deserving of a penalty. Canada needs to step up their game big time. The first period was embarassing and they didn't really step it up until the second half of the second period. They need to play the whole game like that if they want gold.
  11. I'd be out ripping around town on my sled!!! :good:
  12. Here's a question: have you removed the caps off the battery to check the electrolyte level? Yes even these so called maintenance free batteries need to be checked from time to time. You may find one or more cells are low. Top up with distilled water (can get it at shoppers drugmart). If the levels are ok, pull battery and put on charger then take into Canadian Tire and have them load test it. These steps will rule out battery issues.
  13. The wheel weights would be harder. I believe they add tin to the lead to harden it up. You could add some of your sheet material to the wheel weights to cut down on the amount of wheel weights you need.
  14. Then if you want them bullet proof cover with Soft Tex. You can get it at Bass Pro.
  15. Running voltage should be between 13.8 and 14.2 volts.
  16. I only drywall every 15 years or so. I have forgotten what I learned back then. At least the room is only 10X10 and almost done.
  17. WOOHOO!!! What Fun!!! HOHO......ACK.........CHOKE.........COUGH...........
  18. Well I'll be damned, just when you thought you almost saw it all. Nice idea Dave!!,temporarily I mean. They are perfect for seasonal vehicles and those that you don't drive too often. There are even automatic switches that will shut off if the battery drains to a certain point so that you don't end up with a dead battery. I.E. if you happen to leave your lights on. Once the battery gets down to a certain voltage it will automatically shut off power. You come back and find you have now power, hit the brakes, start your car and drive away. Automatic Battery Disconnect Switch
  19. Or even easier is to get one of These and just turn the juice off when not using the vehicle.
  20. Same one, just finally got it home. It's been at work since I got it because I was renovating @ home and had nowhere to put it. Still not done with the renos but the shop area should be done next week.
