Leafs play the Sens tomorrow night. On TSN4&5.

Another miserable weather weekend here in YK.
Rain and high winds all day Saturday and showers and wind today.
Got out for a few hours today to clean up all the water from yesterdays storm and to tarp the roof.
Quite the pain in the butt man handling a 30'X40' tarp solo in 40 km gusts!!!

It's a cartel sub that is used to run coke into the country.
Was captured by the Coast Guard!!!

Drain gas, refill with fresh and Seafoam.
Replace spark plug, run engine.
Sounds like the oil is restricting fuel flow in the carb.

Tonight's light show.

A friend on another lake up here has one of those speedy pontoons.
His is a triple tube 20 something foot deal with a giant OB on the back.
The thing flies!!!! Even with 8 or 10 people on it.
I think it has a 150 or 200 on the back.

Be nice and crush your barbs.

I purchased my boat through Legend in the spring of 1991 and am very happy with it. Even after 24 years!!!
As has been said, they do not manufacture their own boats but re badge other manufacturers units.
Mine is actually a Fisher SV-18 GT. I made sure to upsize the motor when I purchased it.
Probably the best thing about my boat is the floor. It is carpeted aluminium so there is no plywood to rot like there is on most boats out there.
The only wood on my boat is the core of the transom and two teak trim pieces on the gunnel and splashwell.
-
Extended transoms make the boat handle better by making it perform like a longer boat by setting the motor further back.

Have caught some good ones S of the QEW bridge on the Credit in my yoot!!!
Above the rowing club. Usually in the spring though. Never tried @ this time of year as I was usually chucking hardware off the pier for sammins and troots.

I did what paul suggested with the avenger joe. From 18 to 17 for winter tires. Rims and tires cost me 1200. Got two seasons out of them and sold the set of four for $600 after I bought the truck. You just need to make sure you have clearance for the calipers when you down size.
I did the same thing with my Honda Civic when I owned it.
Went down a size on the rims for the winter tires and saved a bundle on rubber.

Most of Kessel's banner's have been used here. Most of them were bad. "Don't touch me Phil" is in for a rude awakening.
I wonder if he's going to tell Crosby to go eff himself like he did to Phaneuf?

WOW!!!!
Say what you will about Subban's on ice antics but the dude is a pretty generous, stand up guy off the ice.
The Montreal Children's Hospital is getting a boost from one of the city's favourite Habs.
It's naming its atrium in honour of P.K. Subban on Wednesday morning, after the star defenceman made what the hospital is calling "the biggest philanthropic commitment by a sports figure in Canadian history."
"Montreal has become my second home," Subban said. "My love for Montreal is why I wanted to make a significant contribution to this city and this province."
The funding will be used in part for a fund called P.K.'s Helping Hands, which will help families struggling financially with a child's illness.
An official announcement was made at the hospital today, but Subban missed the beginning of it as he was stuck in traffic.
He arrived to a standing ovation and shouts of "P.K.! P.K.!" from the large crowd gathered in the atrium for the announcement.
"As I was walking out of the backroom, I noticed the P.K. Subban lettering up there and I got goosebumps," Subban said pointing to his name which now adorns a wall on the atrium.
"It's not too many times I get goosebumps in what I do playing hockey for a very long time in front a lot of people. That's probably the only time I got goosebumps in a long time."
Greg Rokos, chair of the board of directors of the Montreal Children's Hospital foundation, said the donation was like "Christmas in September."
On hand for the announcement this morning were Subban's parents, his sister Natassia, Élise Béliveau, the wife of late Canadiens legend Jean Béliveau, and Michel Lacroix, head announcer of the Montreal Canadiens.
The new Montreal Children's Hospital opened at the Glen site earlier this year.

The last couple of sets of tires I bought for my Honda Pilot were Goodyear Silent Armour and they were very good in the snow and ice as well as on dry pavement. However they wore quite quickly and are no longer produced. So this time I bought a set of Hercules Terra Trac's and they have been a really decent tire at a good price point so far. They are more durable than the Goodyear's I had and get almost as good winter traction.
Don't buy all season tires as they become ineffective in cold winter temps.

Pretty simple fix here as I see it.
A piece of high tensile fence wire across the narrows in front of your place @ neck height and 10 gallons of gas and a match for the CG.
Problem solved!!!!

1991 Fisher SV18-GT with a 2013 Merc 115 hp 4 stroke.
With a full load of fuel me, the dog and supplies for the weekend @ the cabin 42MPH @ 5850 RPM.

Weather was crap this weekend. Friday and Saturday was rain and high winds with gusts to 50 MPH.Today it's overcast, cold and a little rain. Decided to stay @ home this weekend and do some work on my fishin' machine.New front brakes, reconditioned my headlights as they were badly pitted and yellowing due to age. I also installed a new moose/bison avoidance system. My rig now has 37,000 lumens of LED lighting available. Should work well for those butt heads that refuse to refuse to dim their high beams when meeting you on the road.Still have 2 or 3 weeks left to get this cabin thing set for the winter before I have to stop working and start fishing until freeze up in October.Finished wiring up the Retinabomb 3000 death rays today.

My biggest issue with Canadian politics is the lack of being able to decline your ballot and having it mean something.
I don't think there is any party worth voting for in this election, but if one declines their ballot it just gets lumped in with all other ballots that were not counted (i.e. spoiled etc.). In the US declined ballots are counted as that and it sends a message that those who declined fell there is no one worthy of their vote.
As such I will be voting for anyone but the big three as I don't like any of their platforms.
Would have voted NDP until Mulclair said he would make it a priority to reinstate the long gun registry!!!
What a moron!!!! The Libs already wasted $2 billion so lets waste some more!!!
