  1. I can try ,,,but the one garage we have dealt with charged me 2 labours for 2 defective rack and pinions on wifes old van, I picked up the parts from a nation wide supplier up here and said because I picked up the parts and took them to his garage that he would not honour his 3 month labour warranty because he did not pick up the part, so we r out almost 1000 bucks, welcome to the north

Check with Canadian Tire. They have tools to loan. FREE!!! :)

  2. Are there Bear proof screens? Your nuts man. Nuts in a good way.

    PFFFFFT!!! Bears!!!!

Had bears sniffing @ my tent in Alaska. B)

My buddy had a grizz pushing in on the side of his tent once.

He punched it in the face because the muzzle flash from the 44 magnum would not be healthy for the tents nylon!!! :o

Cars are much more bear proof than nylon!!!!! :tease: :tease: :tease: :tease:

  3. Dunno where you will be heading, but I see round side parking areas on Hwy 17 east of North bay- could park overnight there, or maybe those little picnic areas with washrooms?

When I'm travelling I will park where ever. Usually a rest area but have been known to just park on the street or in a gas station parking lot if needed. ;)

  4. Like everyone else has said, very professional looking work.

The thought that's gone into the detail, keeps shinning through.

I'm wondering what the completed inside is going to be like?

Man-cave or a seductive hide away that the fairer sex would melt for? LOL

    Dan.

If all goes according to plan, this (or a reasonable facsimile) is what it should look like when finished. ;)

  5. I guess I can wait to see why you put those notches in the end rafters but maybe you can tell us why - I noticed them from the beginning - when I retired 20 years ago I built a 38' by 40' stand alone garage by myself - always thought that was quite an achievement but when I see what your doing it doesn't seem that great - thanks for posting this building project for us to watch - boy your going to be proud when it is all finished - and the location is something else - best wishes - Joe

Joe, those notches are for the outriggers. They connect the fly rafter to the roof to create the eve's overhang on the gable ends of the building.

  6. Got out with the new prop and it seems to work pretty good!! :good: :good:

Need to mess around with the vent plugs to try and get the hole shot better but I can run it trimmed up higher and with the jack plate raised 3 1/2" without cavitation. In shallow water when docking or maneuvering I can lift the jack plate all the way and trim higher than before and have better control.
