Great job and material lift! I can see from your work you are a pro at construction.
Question: Why are you using OSB or aspenite sheathing on the roof when half inch plywood is used on most new house roofs?
They use OSB on new construction around here.
Not sure why but it's plenty strong and less expensive. Maybe that's why.
Also our snow loads are very low here compared to a lot of places.

Colemans for me
Block ice is where its at
I use a 10L spring water jug from the grocery store as an ice block.
I refill them with about 8L of tap water and throw in the freezer after I have finished the drinking the spring water.
It's just like a giant freezer pack in the cooler and doesn't fill it with water.
I only buy cubes so I have some to drop in me rum!!!

Are all Skeena stlhd crazy fighters or did they just show the best.
I have 16 years til retirement. Thank goodness there are some decent places in ontario.
Been watching WFN king of the river, wildfisferman, and shorelines with April Norway looks amazing too. So many good short films out there too eg Todd Moen
Yes, they are all insane fighters and large average size.

Only 11 1/2 more years until I retire and fish there full time!!!

This has been an amazing project. How did you learn how to do everything?
Thanks
Picked up things here and there and watch a lot of HGTV!!!

I use a Coleman Marine Extreme cooler and it does hold ice for a long time.
Surprised the Yeti was no better.

Drifter - Not once u factor in trailer, motor, batteries...
He is correct. A wider Beamed 16' and maybe a 17' is about right. Although my friend has an older 19' princecraft Hudson that is more bare bones and light.
Granted with fuel and gear it would be a little over his 3000# mark but not by much.
Notice both of the Lund models of the 1875 come in under 3K#'s boat, motor and trailer.
-
You can get much more than a 16 footer in the 3000# range.
For instance this 19' Lund Pro-V package comes in just under your weight limit.

This Crestliner in the same size should come in around the same weight.

Question is: Who went out to change the flat tire?
I would just drive on the flat until I hit Hungary and then i would pull out the spare!!

In Soviet Russia, you don't run over bear!!!
Bear runs over you!!!!

That looks sik nice job...what did you use to strip it
Just some contractor strength paint stripper.
The paint came off very easily. I was quite surprised.
The name is Heirloom Max heavy duty paint stripper.
Got it @ CT, but I don't see it on their website for some reason.

Finally got out to the cabin today.
Been blowin' a gale all week. Was gusting 70+ on Friday and 50+ on Saturday.
But this morning there wasn't a breath of wind.
It was a bit chilly though after the front went through.
Good run up the lake with my shiny new prop. I removed the vent plugs and it performs better out of the hole now too.
And now the moment a bunch of you have been waiting for. Time to reveal my rig for getting my materials up on the roof.
Got about 3/4 of the South roof sheathed today so I'm pretty happy.
I can lift 3 sheets of sheathing at a time with my lift.

If I felt like theft was an issue I could always throw one of these on.
Where I live in town, theft is not much of an issue.
All the drunks and crack heads all all the way over on the other side of town.
They are too lazy to come all the way out here.
My boat stays indoors when it's not going to or from or on the lake.
-
Too windy to head to the lake today so I decided to strip the paint off the new prop.
It wasn't hard at all and took about 1 1/2 hours from start to finish.
