  8. Who would have thought he would be the Leafs leading scorer? I know I didn't.
  9. Yeah, I don't agree with being paid out at all. It is for use if you get sick, not a bonus for not getting sick. We don't get paid out for unused sick leave or special leave (death, family member sick). This tends to make some people abuse the system and use up all of their leave when not sick or have family emergencies. The entire 9 years I have been working here I have only used my special leave once, when my mom passed away.
  10. Be about a foot or more by now Dara.

  13. Spent most of my time guiding out of Trophy, but have guided @ the main lodge and Neiland Bay. Have also been to Bransons and Arctic Circle lodges. I first fish Bloody with an old guide friend years ago. We had the day off @ the lodge so we boated the 30 miles and spent 1/2 day fishing shallow lakers in August. Between the two of us we caught close to 2 dozen fish all between 20-25#'s in about 4 hours fishing. Camping out there for a week we are bound to hit a 50 or two with a little luck.
  14. Wasn't hiding them on purpose. Fish was 45". I'm guessing 25-27#s
  15. Typical for anglers who can't catch big fish. I just hold them close to my body as the weight of the behemoths would tear tendons and muscle if I held them out like that!!!! I guess if all I caught were tiny fish I would hold them out too!!!
  16. She's got a little over 4,400kms now most of it towing my ice hut.
  17. Finally finished the work on my truck for the trip to Ontario next week so it was time to tune and maintain the sled for season. Got her all cleaned and shined up then I took her for a short ride. We're still hurtin' big time in the snow dept. though. Hopefully a bunch will fall while I'm down South visitin' and chasing steel. Here's a few pic of her in her Sunday best!!! Hard to believe she's 8 years old now.
  18. Yep, was fun to watch. Turned it on after watching the Bernier Show on CBC. Getting ready to watch the Jets game now.
  19. We have a way to deal with people like that Bunk. All you will need is a 5 gallon pail filled with sand. When you're in camp and Truck Tire and his roomies aren't, dump the sand in TT's bed. Make sure it's nicely spread out under the covers. It will get the point across without having to duke it out usually. You still may have to knock him on his but there is no reason to put up with bull from some twat that shouldn't be there in the first place. It's obviously become a job for him and is no longer a passion. I gave up guiding because of this. When it stops being what you live for it's time to give it up. Took me 25 years before it became work so I had a pretty good run. Now I just want to fish for myself and my friends. Going to head to Bear probably in 2017 to fish with one of my guide buddies at the main camp. We're going to head out for a week of fishin', campin' and drinkin' near Bloody River.
  20. They mostly eat ciscoes, whitefish, grayling and other trout.
