  1. Seems they have one lane open now. Better than none. A woman saw it happen and watched as a couple of pick up trucks nose dived off the ramp. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/articles/intense-cold-splits-brand-new-bridge-strands-canadians-/62165/
  2. Honey badgers are OK. They keep the king cobra population in check.
  3. Made it out to the cabin for the first time in 2016 and first time since October. Seems the place is still standing and isn't full of snow so that's good. Broke trail up the hill, but it's super sugary snow and I'll have to wet and pack down the trail after the road opens. No way I'll be able to haul anything up the hill without a good hard base. Really easy to spin right down to dirt and rocks now. Here's a few shots from today's trip.
  4. Got out just in time!!!! Crossed the bridge a week ago Friday on my way back home.
  5. I want to pick up a .243 for wolf hunting here. Tons of them around my area and the hides are worth close to $1,000 a piece. A fella could make some extra $$$$$ whacking predators in his spare time. Take the gun on sledding and ice fishing trips just in case. Saw a giant wolf a few years ago on a lake not too far out of town. Had to go between 175 and 200 pounds!!!
  6. Personally I like my flip over better than my pop up tent, but I have a snowmobile to pull it around. If you're on foot I would suggest a popup as they are much lighter. You should also build yourself a Smitty Sled to haul your gear as it is much easier to pull by hand. Have heard good things about the Clam pop up shelters. I have only pulled my 2 man flip over by hand once (early ice) and won't be doing that again. Thought I was gonna blow a lung!!!!
  7. To get yer blood pumping. Click to watch on Vimeo. Embedding no worky. Silver Kings Season 2: Episode 1 "Everglades Isolation" from Brine Media on Vimeo.
  8. I would enter but you already told me I can't win cause we're friends. Sooooooooooooooo.......................
  9. And that is why I said if he is in a high traffic area such as an apartment building there will be a lot more traffic on 2.4 as opposed to 5 ghz. While you do have 13 channels there are other devices besides your wireless internet competing for those channels. Cordless phones, wireless game controllers and consoles etc. This is what the average traffic looks like in my environment here. We have 7 AP's on 3 floors. Notice the difference between our 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz radios?
  10. FYI Here's some free software you can download to see how good your signal is throughout your house as well as see what other WiFi AP's are around and could be impacting throughput. http://www.ekahau.com/wifidesign/ekahau-heatmapper
  11. If he's in a high traffic area like an apt. building it makes a huge difference. We have dual band radios @ the college because of this. There is so much competition for 2.4ghz bandwidth that speeds are badly degraded. Our building is the first 3 floors of a 10 story apt. building, plus we pick up many other AP's from the vicinity.
  12. And Mike Richards got a 1 yr deal with the Caps. Hope he doesn't spend it all on coke.
  13. You can install a USB WiFi adapter to upgrade. Replacing the internal adapter is doable most likely (depends on if the manufacturer makes a dual band unit that is compatible). One of these is your best bang for the buck. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-ieee-802-11ac-wi-fi-adapter-for-desktop-computer/2890435.p?id=1219081254870&skuId=2890435 P.S. turn off the internal one so you don't get confused.
  14. Sounds like you had a bad cell in the old battery.
  15. Gotta good laugh out of this video. Damn you Ghost Ninja!!! https://www.facebook.com/rotffpmplmfao/videos/1182150475134160/
  16. As per the Leafs facebook page. Leo Komarov has been named to an NHL All-Star and will represent the Maple Leafs in Nashville.
  17. My lil Honda does a lot better than I figured it would. I even had the pleasure of pulling a stuck suburban out of the sand on Anchor Beach in Alaska. I was joking to my buddy that we should be filming this for the internet. The trucks owner did not agree and was pretty embarrassed by the whole ordeal. She can climb hills pretty good too!!! It even has a center locking differential!!!
  18. Yep. I used minnows under a float with a tiny treble hook.
  19. Nice, but not a mid life crisis toy. It's a Jeep!!!! This is what a mid life crisis toy looks like. http://powernationtv.com/post/the-all-new-bugatti-chiron-gets-an-incredible-top-speed-from-its-quad-turbocharged-8-0l-w16-engine
