  1. What? You don't rebuild sleds and motorcycles in your kitchen? That's the closest room to my tiny little shop with enough space to unpack and assemble it.
  2. Maybe I missed it if it was posted before. http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2015/02/18/toronto-man-nets-20-day-jail-sentence-for-fishing-violations.html
  3. I don't know. Why don't you ask Patrick Kane, Sidney Crosby, etc. They were 1st over all picks ad were drafted by losing teams. Actually almost all 1st overalls went to losing teams because that' how the system works. Maybe the Sens will win next year.
  4. Won the draft lottery. They get the first overall pick in next months draft.
  5. WOOHOO!!!!! LEAFS WIN!!!!! LEAFS WIN!!!!!!
  6. It's a good thing I'm not in the mechanicin' bus anymore or I'd have one of those $20K big block powered SnapOn boxes!!!!
  7. Finally pulled the trigger on a new toolbox. My old one is over 30 years old now and will be heading out to the cabin to hold my cabin tools, This big girl will be replacing it and should hold a bunch more tools than my old one that is completely stuffed. Still have tools everywhere that wouldn't fit in the old one. Should clear up a bunch of space in my tiny little workshop. As a bonus it was on sale over $1K off and because I put it on my CT credit card I get to spread it out over 24 months with no interest and I got $70 CT Money on the card to spend elsewhere. It's a win, win, win!!!!
  8. Starts Sunday on Animal Planet. http://us6.campaign-archive1.com/?u=710ce75f85fcd216d5d83dcf1&id=d0794fe5dd&e=1bef60b9e9
  9. Been too busy with the cabin. I only got out fishing twice this winter. Now I have to fix my sled and get my boat ready while waiting for ice out. The sled has to be done now as I don't want to have to fix it up while waiting for ice up in late October. The weather outside is much nicer now. I'll be getting the boat out as soon as there is some open water to fish though.
  10. OK, this just made my day!!!! The new Blink-182 is out!!! https://vid.me/FzGv
  11. Hey gang!!! I'm looking for a few helpers. See attached ad.
  12. Very true. I always shake my head when I watch The First 48 and the 19 year old homie that got whacked was the father of three young kids!!
  13. People don't discipline their children any more because they will get thrown in jail for spanking them. You can thank the government for today's children. They are the ones that make the laws.
  14. I put mine on the outside but use this type: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/shoreline-marine-brass-twist-drain-plug-1-in-0792427p.html#.Vx_Ij_krJhE Much smaller chance of it accidentally coming out. I also carry a spare at the helm in case of emergencies. And a couple more packed away in one of my storage areas for good measure. One of these would be even better but a bit of a pain to remove and replace. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/shoreline-marine-garboard-plug-0792432p.html#.Vx_JC_krJhE
  15. You got it. I have done everything from house wiring and plumbing, framing, furniture design and build, to HVAC, auto mechanicing, audio/video, car and boat electronics. I don't think there is anything technical I won't give a go.
  16. We had the best shop classes anywhere @ my high school. There was an electrical/electronics shop, wood shop, drafting, metal/machine/welding shop and a 4 bay auto shop. It was totally kick donkey!!!!
  17. It's because of all the naked Playboy Bunnies tanning on his dock!!!
  18. I never miss a chance to stop in @ Apache Burger (Dundas & Kipling) when ever I'm in the area.
  19. DOH!!! Forgot about it Doug and I was just down there last week. Thanks for reminding me.
  20. Borrowed a buddies sled and got my windows out to the cabin and safely stowed until I can get them installed. The main access point is getting sloppy with melt and mud but my other access point is still mint. Went in that way and came out the regular way. The alternate route is much smoother and will probably good for a couple of weeks still. The ice on the lake is still perfect and there is no melting on it as yet. The snow melted and packed with the 3 days of warm weather earlier in the week but that makes it easier to get around. No issues getting from the ice road to the shore by the cabin this week. Last week the snow was still thigh deep but this week maybe a few inches. The smaller windows all stowed inside. The big and heavy ones are outside. Lost most of the snow up by the cabin with the warm up this week too.
  21. Careers such as the trades. Welding, mechanicing and building tradespeople are always in demand as are heavy equipment operators. Not too mention computer related jobs like mine. No degree for me but I do have a diploma and only had to school for a year.
  22. Never mind the GTA. At least there are decent rental accommodations at reasonable prices there. A 1 bedroom rental apt. here is North of $1500/mo and renting a room in someones house is $1000/mo. Want a new "house"? There is a nice new subdivision loaded with manufactured homes (trailers) on lots small enough that you can reach out your window and touch the neighbours house. Luckily they are giving them away for only $425,000!!!!
  23. It's the everyone gets a trophy generation. Mostly a lazy bunch of entitled brats.
