  5. LOL I guess it was....LOL I did mean to say carp....dang
  6. gee...it really is all about the photos...lol the photos were not very good so I played with them
  7. I had to go down to lebarons to return a transducer and pick up the right one for my x67c on Saturday day morning I must say it was a good experience, seems customer service is back a Lebarons..wonder when that happened got back and thought what the heck, so I took the folding boat down to the river for a little crappie fishing.... many boats were by the trees so I went under the bridge...not many crappie were being caught but I saw a few real big ones brought in but not by me they were using minnows I was using plastic..that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it after about 20 mins I see the float go down and the fight is on...well not really what ever it was, it was small...yup the prize was a 7" perch....everyone one else was catching 13" crappie and I get a stunted perch..story of my life but hey I am out to relax so who cares.... I did get into some crappie...small crappies but they were fun to catch didn't I call this thread something about "carp master" so as time goes on the float goes down and takes off fast I set the hook and say to myself " self you have got a bass on there, so put the camera away cause you don't need that crap" well that sucker just kept running and I knew it wasn't a bass it wasn't even that big but damn did it give me a fight I just might have to look into this carp fishing the guys have been talking about I wonder if there is the Carp Masters Classic on ESPN so where is it I by that corn stuff anyway...good way to spend a few hours on a Saturday
  8. you are hooked on tourneys just wait in a year or 2 you will be throwing down all your money on a new one but do you think a 200 is big enough..275 would bet you there quicker
  9. yeah but she only charges people to use her docks, not to catch fish, so you got what you paid for...lol sorry.......but sometimes that is the best place on the whole river to catch them..but it's a crap shoot, make that a crappie shoot.......I heard that this week they were catching them at alberts marina with is a bit before that place on the right
  10. funny I found it lame in my world everyone doesn't target OOS fish people don't take pictures to boost ones own ego(stat sheets) in my world we don't need to tell little white lies a couple of years ago when I took that kid out fishing for his very first time and he happened to catch an OOS bass I didn't snap the picture for ego, to show the world or to hold on to it till season opened it I didn't snap the picture to show the fish I took the picture to show the face, the pure joy in a kids face after catching the first fish he ever caught the fish was secondary at best any time I take pictures it to remember the trip the joy, to save a moment in time when the guy down the road from me came and told me that he caught what he thinks is a bass and he said it was a monster..I told him it would be out of season he said yeah he thought that and let it go, but said it was the first time he caught something other then sunfish and bullheads said he would show me when he got the film done yup it was a 5lb large mouth,,,and by the smile on his face you could see that it was the hi-lite of his fishing to that point.. and in your world you find something wrong , or deceptive with that well I will stay in my world where the smile on ones face is what the picture is about
  11. well the MNR with the new regs..when every they come out are opening up even more year round and early season bass fishing..so I guess they don't believe their our experts.. but really I don't dissagree with anything your wrote this time.. and I would never tell or want people to target OOS fish, I don't take pictures of OOS fish and I know better then posting them here.... but you and I know an OOS fish means nothing.. but you have a 8 year old kid out fishing for pike and he catches a OOS bass 7lbs and a picture will mean a lot to him just to prove he caught the thing...... I understand the need to encourage people not to play around with OOS fish but I see nothing in the law that makes it illegal..moral..well that's a different argument for a different day
  12. again people make up the regs and the law of nature to suit their own crap the fact is most fish are OOS in the spring when the water is cold, fish being cold blooded do much better and survive abuse much better in cool temps then the warmer summer temps, as do muskie, but of course you know that
  13. seems people just make up the regs to suit their cause.. the wording is the same for slot fish and OOS fish the word is immediately and everyone know you can't target them or harm them..that has nothing to do with taking a picture of a fish people throw all this other crap into their post to try to confuse and trick you into believing something that is just not a fact...there is no law against anyone taking a picture of a fish of any kind oh and they tell you to read the tips on releasing fish they tell you to take a quick picture...
  14. I disputed your argument before you wrote it....lol and again harassing(fishing for) spawning fish is illegal, so of course no one would take a picture of them your argument just doesn't hold water
  15. DanC, it is illegal to fish for spawning fish, so the taking of pictures would be the lest of his problems and in this neck of the woods most honest people will tell you that most OOS fish are caught well before the spawn when they come in to eat after winter and while fishing for in season fish the OOS fish get caught because they are eatting not spawning... the OOS fish equals spawning fish is crap ..bass are out of season for well over half the year but only spawn for a few weeks..so statements of OOS = spawning fish are from misinformed people or people trying bending the truth to prove a point I will bet that I have not caught an OOS fish that was spawning in over 20 years, but have caught lots of oos fish while fishing for legal fish............
  16. the problem is, the MNR likes to tell everyone that you can be charged for getting your picture taken with an OOS fish and it's true you can be charged but not for the photo but for keeping a fish out of water too long and it dies forthwith in the context of the law means within a reasonable time, a normal time and in a quick enough time that the fish would be expected to live.... if you /they took forthwith to mean the second you know you have a OOS fish on your line then you would have to cut your line or you would have to leave the hooks in or if you hook your finger bring the fish in you would have to cut your finger off rather then take the time to remove the hook safely ..but that silly forthwith only means in a timely fashion
  17. Trophymuskie you are 100% wrong it is not illegal more then a few of us have had letters and emails from top MNR guys and it was not .. I was going into a long explanation.....but I will bet anyone right now 1 million bucks that it is not illegal for me to take a photo of an OOS fish put up or shut up
  18. the link you are looking for you need to wait for a sunny day
  19. unless it's an old nero you go to dvd then to make own dvd then add video files then burn or if you just want to store them on a dvd just burn them as data
  20. I hear lake ontario is open much of the holland river froze last weekend but seems to be open now, as far as I can see going over the bridges, so I will be most likely on it this weekend too
  21. no one jump on you about it, because there are only a couple of.......guys.. that care whether or not people post OOS fish.... it is legal to take a photo of OOS fish but to control the few that go crazy over it.. they decided to not allow it any way.....nice of you to post about your mistake, I am sure I and others will be making the same mistake in the future
  22. bars can show the fights but they have to pay to show it and it costs a lot more then to buy it to watch at home
  23. sorry I'm like the bus drivers...correct change only
