Hey Drifter, your a long way from Weston Road in To. That's before my time. I'm sure many of the people I work with will know your dad. Got hired by Procter & Gamble in 92 and the place is now owned by the Irving's of the east coast.

Experience tells me to tell you to ask for short ski's, a lot easier to control, turn and stop. It is easier if your relaxed. just mho. Oh and by the way have a great time. KW Mike

Hey I can see my dock in the last pic. ha,ha. middle of the bay upper left. I see a lot of huts out around the middle of the lake near the islands. If you are coming from Hwy 11 along 520 you will see the huts on your left just past the lumber mill. There is a landing there where you can park. Close nough to walk out if you like. Not familier with Ahmic though. Hope catch some fish.

Anglers Haven is the place for me, I have not been out with Mark & Shelly for a couple of years (got our own place on the lake) They are great people and look after there guests like they have been your freinds for years. Put 3 of us and a hairy golden retriever in his biggest bungalow. Mark wouldn't let me pay for my son, he was 9 or 10 at the time and said kids are always free. I think Shelly's dad took us out once as well, very nice gentleman. I will some day go out with them again but I need to find the fish on Lake Cecebe first. Ha, Ha, this could take awhile though.

ATV Fine and Penalty without plate and insurance
mikemcmillan replied to CRAPPIE's topic in General Discussion
How is a ATV on ice different than a snowmobile, do you also need insurance to go out on the ice? I take my sled out from the cottage to a couple if fishing spots, 2 or 3 miles max but I don't have insurance. Do have ownership and a currant sticker. Knock on wood, never been stopped. -
I had the same problem when I put a new furnace in the cottage. The "heat anticipator" needs to be adjusted to fit the new furnace. I did use the old thermostat but I would recomend a new digital one. You can adjust the anticipator by taking the cover off the thermostat and turning the dial until the furnace runs longer and warms the house properly. Do a google search on "furnace heat anticipator" and you can find a site that explains it better than I. Aslo I don't think that your new furnace is a 2 stage unit. I hope I'm wrong on that. Good Luck, hope this helps some. Mike

Hey Cookslav, the dump out on Erb Street will take it, no charge either. I think the only thing is it has to be in a proper gas can.

Walleye Fishing around Burks Falls?
mikemcmillan replied to reelinrolly's topic in General Discussion
Cecebe has some nice walleye, one of my guests caught a 9 pounder just after thanksgiving weekend. You can park and walk out from Rockwynn Landing on hwy 520. Out around the islands is a good place to start. There are some huts out there now so you can see where guys are fishing. Good luck if you try. Mike -
I know there's a lot of knowledge here so I have a question. Bought a house near Burk's Falls and want to leave the heat on during the winter and was wondering what to leave the thermostat at. I was thinking 40f. House has a electric forced air furnace so I know the bill is going to hurt. I know it's worth the cost for some ice fishing and a little sledden around Cecebe. Can't wait for the freeze up. Thanks for the input. Mike

Ok, you asked so here is my first spam. Our family just bought a resort on Lake Cecebe west of Burks Falls, we take possesion this Friday. Manor Park Cottages is the name and we have exactly what your after. It's a nice little place with a clean, weed free beach and swim area. Clean cabins, nice docks and a good ramp. I'm told the fishen is good with pic's, pike and lots of bass. Prices are $750 and down. Send me a PM and I'll follow up with some pictures if your intereted. Sorry for the spam but I was hopping for a spot to brag a little. We are all a little on edge and can't wait for the hard work to start. We've been looking for a place for a few years and now that it's only a few days away it's hard to believe it's happening. Anyway thanks for the thread. I guess the next step is to buy some ad space on a great fishing site. lol. KW Mike

If you want quantity and not quality, take the kids into Pineary Provincial Park, I think it's $10. for a day pass. They have some docks the kid's can fish from or you can rent a canoe. The river holds lots of fish and they are easy to catch. Bring some worms. My wife worked in the park back in the 90's and I used to take the kids fishn there all the time. Tons of deer around and the youngsters will love watching them. Have a great time. Mike

New Boater - Boat Launch Advice and Etiquette
mikemcmillan replied to love2fishhave2work's topic in General Discussion
#1 rule is have your boat prepared when you are ready to put it in the water, have it loaded so you can drop it and get out of they way so others don't have to wait. Just my opinion. Congrates on the new ride. -

I have a 2000 55hp 3 cylinder, runs great, easy on fuel and is very reliable. I havn't had any problems so the parts issue hasn't affected me, but having to wait a month in the middle of the season would be a huge downer.

OK, 10 to 1 stat is stuck, JMO.

There is a place in Guelph on Hwy 7 near the Hanlon, I think it's new as well, drove past it the other day, first time I've seen it, don't know if it's new or not but I will be checking both places out. Hope they both prosper.

Tybo's got it right, try this, with engine warm and heating system turned on and the fan blowing, try tapping on the thermostat housing, sometimes this will unstick the stat, don't hammer it, just a light tap with the handle of a screwdriver, hold the hose with one hand, you should feel the coolant flowing. If everything else is working and there are no leaks the stat is bad. PS, where are you and what's the temp in your area, the stat could be lower temp unit and with the temp's out there now it will make a differance
