wow i'm on cogeco pro and paying 85 a month for these speeds...
Something wrong there Cliff. I'm paying $120 for Phone, cable and highspeed with Cogeco. I got tired of calling India to speak with Bell 'Canada'
Cogeco has been reliable.

There is also the debate over where the fry are released. Fry were originally released in a trib or stream to give them time to imprint on the body of water. This would help establish natural replenishment and breeding.
Current practice with Pacifics merely sustains a put and take fishery. Fry are released off the harbours and piers with no chance to imprint on a suitable trib for spawning. Possibly to free up tribs for the Atlantic program and more trout.

Yet another 'girl shows guy how its done report." I love it. My wife still thinks fishing is a guy thing.

WTG Bly.
There is a reason "Luck" is known as a "Lady" I will always get beat by the ladies. It used to be my mother who would one up me every year. Now it's my daughter.
In the end we're all smiling.

You can be the best guide around, but bush smarts don't hold a candle to book smarts in today's world. Get your education while you can.

We won't feel a thing if the worst happens.

Stop in at the tackle shop on #69. The proprietor also owns a small lodge on the bay. He is always very helpful. Like said before, lots of pike, but don't overlook the bass.
-
Great report. I just love hitting a lake for the first time and successfully picking it apart.

The weather does play a major factor with trying to figure out patterns
just remember we had record rain falls this summer and tons of cold
fronts over all the cool summer and high water levels are making it
harder to locate fish, you aint the only one that noticed the difference lots of
people here do.
Those differences have affected every body of water. I've found slowing down the presentation or downsizing have been key to consistent results.

the entire river looks like this right now!! i just moved up to sault ste. marrie for school and the pink salmon fishing is amazing. there are schools of 200-300 fish moving at some times
i wish i could get some pictures up but i dont have a way to yet.
Fine, be that way!
JWL and I are both green with envy. Loved fishing below the dam.

Some absolutely breathtaking pics of the scenery. Thank you

An interesting, if not comical read. Some nice fish there to atone for your misfortunes.
All I can think of is "Heeey Yaabbaaaat"

hey!!, you can come fishing with me for a couple days in my boat at the trailer, but if you think I am tieing you line the whole time we are there...you better think about bringing the boy
That's why I use the snaps. By the way, I found something real good to add to the "roadkill" chilli

IT's the closest thing to a "rutting" season for the human male
-
Another Berkley "Easy-Clip" user. I haven't got the patience or young eyes to retie constantly
They are a bit pricey but I'd likely buy them again.
I concur. You forgot about fingers seized up with arthritis. I used to hand the line and lure to my son to tie. He's not around too much now when I'm fishing.
-
The 6 ft Ugly Stick will do just fine for bigger pike. I only use 14-20lb lines and no leader.
-
Good report. You presented sone neat information and was easy to read.
-
I'm good as long as they don't come out with a "human emissions" standard!... oops! there goes one now!!!
... oh man that was nasty!!!
I'm still trying to find a way to feed those emissions into the motor
Never have to buy gas again. Especially after 2 bowls of "roadkill" chilli

are silver carp and asian carp the same thing or is sian carp just a general name for carp, im doing a report for university on carp and on this vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yS7zkTnQVaM they keep refering to the carp as asian carp.
I would suggest you hit a textbook or two, and other source materials, for the more suitable answers rather than relying on an open forum. That is why it is called research

Wonderful report. Seems Bly really knows how to 'git er dun' with the muskies
-
Great report. You win some and lose some, but the fight will be remembered.
Sure beats flippin burgers and listening to soccer moms all day
-
just got back
i have no idea how to catch fish apparently.
MY GOD!!!!!!! An honest angler
How rare is that
We all get it wrong some days. We just try to come up with lots of excuses first.

Fair play if you're 6'6" and 280+lbs...All the best to you for making a difference.
Being less than half that size, I'm still waiting for Simms or Patagucci to bring out their Kevlar stab-proof line of waders and wading jackets.
That's where the cell phone and the TIPS line come in handy. No confrontation, just call if the law is being broken. There is no need for any redneck antics. Let the authorities do their job.

Had a neighbour like that. Spliced his cable to a 110 outlet to teach him a lesson. It cost him a whole lot more in the end.
