  1. That's a real beauty Jack what is your largest trophy so far?
  2. Are the Shimano rods still on sale Buckster?
  3. Thanks Tjsa I hope to pass by that way in the future and would like to check out the station.
  4. Incredible report Ben in fact incredible season for you! I have to rely on such posts for my fish experience - through the eyes of others so to speak as I could not venture out one single time but I have to tell you this post is very inspirational to say the least. Great job!
  5. I prefer Shimano myself in the past and will stay with the brand although I did pick up a Johnny Morris baitcaster recently and it's a nice reel. For pike and salmon yes you can get way with one reel and I would recommend a shimano calcutta however the choice is up to the individual, you need to handle a few reels yourself to decide.
  6. John are you a habitual carp sniffer?
  7. Hmmmm I find it hard to disagree that Shimano is your preferred choice Lew happy_hooker you need to provide some info on what type of fish and techniques you plan to use on them.
  8. Ok as long as you did not use it to seal the cores due to corrosion. Give a reverse flush a try then, I use a hose fitting with air injection and it blows out lot's of crud.
  9. Yes Marks has some socks they call 40 degree below which are similar to the Red Head ones I am wearing right now, not as good quality as BPS ones but the price is 20 bucks for 3 pair.
  10. There should be no calcium deposits if you use distilled water, look into the rad cap opening for the presence first otherwise suspect rust. But the question Raf, why did you need stop leak in the first place?
  11. Great video, this machine does look promising.
  12. Hope it comes with a snow plow cause you aren't going anywhere if snow is on the ground!
  13. First week of Dec is supposed to be warmer with average temps of 2 degrees, you guys may get lucky.
  14. Sign of a true die hard icefisherman, but then again looking at Rizzo's pic he has been ready since spring.
  15. Opps I forgot to ask, is ther any cake left over?
  16. BTW if you have 100 hours on your garmin don't worry too much it can then handle a modified sine wave, some devices are more sensitive than others.. still it's good idea to read up on inverters before powering expensive electronics.
  17. I blew a motorola V3 cell phone on the inverter Dan, since this inverter puts out a modifies sine wave and the power spikes you never know for sure but electronic life is general shortened. The best thing you can do is get a pure sine wave inverter that will supply clean power. The same goes with generators, you run a risk using them to power electronics.
  18. Since fish rely heavily on sight color is the most important factor followed by size if they are inactive, subtle changes make all the difference.
  19. At times you can get the map 76cx cheaper (referb) however be careful with that inverter Dan it's not a true sine wave and can shorten electronic component life, it's great for charging batteries though and I use it to power a trouble light with a 100W eq florescent light and it works great.
  20. Surprise! Happy Birthday Lew! go ahead and open the long skinny present first hehe
  21. Milk Eggs 1 loaf bread steaks burger buns BBQ sauce 1 chicken PU idiot pills for GCD Black forrest cake 6 lemons pancake mix maple syrup

  23. Geeze Dan I hope you ordered the extra large super sized version!
  24. I have used Lowrance /Eagle in the past however the Huminbird 1197c is the cat's buttocks! Lowrance cannot compare or compete with the side imaging abilities, if you want, PM me for a link to some screen pics.
