I've always felt sorry for the Barred Owl. Of all the owls in North America, it looks the sorriest, with vacant eyes, a non-descript face, and a general look that makes it seem either tired or extremely bored.

Can't honestly say that I've ever heard their call, or the sound of a saw being sharpened (whetted), so I can't say how accurate the name is. But I don't care what you call them, they're cute!

I have some open eyes, but I've bent them so that they are effectively closed, then bend the upper shaft back to about the same angle it was originally so that the action is about the same. Well, according to me. I haven't asked the fish yet.

Then I would say that 'our side' didn't do a good enough job putting our case across. Germany, last time checked, is a democracy. I dislike P3TA as much as anyone, as a tree-hugging nature lover they give me a bad name, but the best way to combat a bad argument (theirs) is with a better argument. If we can't put one before the people, parliament, or a court, the other side wins.

Okay. I've used an M-16, and knew it was developed from the AR-15, didn't realise that the latter was only semi-auto. Don't know how easy it is to convert to full, but some are dead simple (see my previous post).

One of the things I have see in this 'debate' since Newtown are people who are scared that they might not be able to go hunting. Okay, legitimate worry. I see people who are scared that they may not be able to practise their skills on a range. Yep, legitimate worry. There are people who are scared that they may have a constitutional right abridged. Again, legitimate. I personally don't think that any of those things are in danger at all, but I will grant that some could. But I also see a hell of a lot of people who seem to be scared simply because they will be without a gun. If you are scared because you don't have a gun, there is something seriously wrong with you, and/or your society. And more guns will not solve those problems.

Really? I carried an FN 7.62mm C1A1 for ten years, and in just a few minutes, using nothing more than a piece of paper, I can convert it to full auto. I would almost be willing to bet that I could still do it blindfolded. Depending upon how a rifle's trigger group is designed, there is NOT a big difference.

What I liked about them was the huge parking area, just what's needed for a load of vehicles with trailers.

Tried to contact Rockhaven Inn to arrange a tournament, but the e-mail bounced back. Can't find any recent mention of it on-line either. Does anyone know the status of this facility?

This is still the best board, no matter what it looks like. I just think that the old look seemed more like a rustic old fishing lodge, nice wooden look to it.
