  9. We have dangerous ice at Point Anne and today a member of one of the fishing boards was walking out from Point Anne and felt things were not right as he was walking and there was water around him on soft ice. He held on to his spikes and before he knew it he went through the ice up to his waist. He quickly used his ice spikes and was able to get out of it as quickly as possible. He then went to some other fisherman on the ice to warm up by their heater. He feels now that he will not venture out until there is good ice. I would strongly recommend that everybody that is going to go fishing at Point Anne re-book their ice fishing trip and stay off of the Bay of Quinte in that area until we have good ice out. It is worth the wait of a couple of days in order to enjoy the ice fishing and not have to face any tragedies. I have been mentioning about the unsafe ice conditions at Point Anne and will not recommend anyone to this area for fishing until the ice conditions improve. I will post daily on my site the ice conditions on the Bay of Quinte. Here is the link Quinte ice reports Best regards, Sam
  10. Baking in the oven.......hhhhmmmmmmm..........so when they are golden brown they are done. Best of luck on your new addition to the family. Best regards, Sam
  11. Hi Everyone, The ice conditions are not safe on the Bay of Quinte. In some areas the ice is being eroded with the current under the ice leaving it in about 2-3 inches thick and then just a few feet away you might have 6-8 inches. Some of the local anglers who know the area are doing well getting some walleye through the ice. I would recommend that anyone coming up or thinking of coming up should check their tackle shops for the ice conditions for the area that they are heading to. I'm sure if you wait a couple of weeks mother nature is thinking of becoming a tad bit nasty and bring us some colder weather and we will have better ice conditions. I will be posting regular reports of the Bay of Quinte on my website and on a daily basis. This would save me from boring all of you with reports and for those that are not interested in the Bay of Quinte area. Here is the link to my site Bay of Quinte Reports Best regards, Sam

  14. Good on you Rick.........on another note I spent quite some time with the snowblower this morning in our driveway and all I could think of was the snow that i will be removing once I get to the store. When I arrived the front walk was already cleared by one of our customers that comes in to chat in the mornings. I was relieved to see it done and could not thank him enough. Kind of funny I must be getting older when the snow removal starts to bother me and having fallen 3 times in the past week and a half has not helped any. Regards, Sam
  15. It just doesn't matter what his pics look like .............he still makes me giggle every time I see one of his pics with those expressions of just wanting to crack a smile. Regards, Sam
  16. Hey Joey........bring that machine up here and take me for a ride. There is a pressure crack here on the BOQ and we could troll for large walleye Nice toy and be safe enjoying it this winter. Regards, Sam
  17. Hi Urbanangler, I would say that the ice is not safe as of yet. There are a couple of local fisherman that know where it is safe to fish and they know where the currents are etc. to stay clear of those areas. My opinion would be to wait for a week or two and it should be safe to go out and fish. As ice conditions improve I will be pleased to post them on this forum so that everyone does not just drive up to be disappointed not being able to get out and fish. Regards, Sam
  18. WOW...........Lew great report and another great year for the master of Musky fishing. Sure do enjoy your reports. Regards, Sam
  19. Hi Joeytier, The water conditions here in Belleville are extremely hard right now. We have ice from Trenton all the way to Belleville with many areas that are not safe. There are not areas that have open water or boat ramps that are accessible other than Glenora Ferry which is jammed with boats and you will have to break some ice to get the boat out. Hope I am not late in getting this message to you. Regards, Sam
