We can just start out by texting and we will see where that leads us.

Depends how you look at things. lol

Happy belated birthday Paul. You share yours with my mom. Congrats on making it to 39 years of age.

Why do all older ladies (65+) have short hair? It is kind of freaking me out a bit since noticing this trend. Is it because long hair is too difficult to manage and looks messy if you don't? Is it because their hair no longer grows when they are older? Is it because when it is long and you are old it is not manageable and is very wirery? Just wondering. I know it is weird, but whatever

nice. Some real pigs there. well done

My wife will fish with me but only with the kids too. That makes things crazy! 3 little kids plus us in an 18' is usually nutty

Nice trout. That is a big yacht indeed. Nice daay to be out on the water.
-
very cool. Was following the fiasco and was wondering how the trip turned out. Very nice scenery.

If my buddy said no, you were my go-to guy. I was going to pm you. Plus I think my boat is staying in your neighbourhood right now while we are having construction at my house.

I have been using this knot for a while with great results. I really like it. Anyone else using it?

drop shot. I would start at 10ft and work my way out to deeper water. Likely walleye.

I caught a smallie in a tourney last year and it weighed 1.9 on my scale. I had to weigh it in and on the tourney scale it weighed 2.1 . 2 tenths is not too much but who knows.

Rapala digital. You can see it in my hand in the pic if you maximize it.

Man, you know what? I was thinking who could I ask to come fishing with me tonight if Rick did not want to come and I was thinking who I would ask on the forum that lives here and I totally forgot about you Rob. Sorry bro, in the future if I have an opening in my boat I will send you a pm.

Georgina, Thorah and that whole East side of the lake get pounded. The prevailing winds even in the summer seem to be NW. I have fished there before but for me the rough water is not worth me possibly getting bigger fish. I do alright where I fish. No complaints about the fish or waves (generally speaking)

I asked a friend of mineif he wanted to get out for 2 hours after he got off work (obviously not after I got off work lol). He said that would be cool. We got out just after 6 and found some small fish early. We changed things up and moved spots and did pretty well after that. It was an absolutely perfect night as far as the weather is concerned. Man I love living in Barrie. Here are some pics. My fish was 3.9 pounds. I thought it was a legit 4 pounder but the scale said otherwise. Strong fish none the less.
-
Oh! That is a nice fish! Congrats.
-
Ha. He is a big guy with a long reach and I am a good photographer. It was a fat fish but not too long. Legit 3.4 pounds. When I saw it I guessed it was 3.2 pounds. He guessed 3.5 pounds. I guess he won unless we use the price is right rules. lol

Prevailing wind in NW. I spent the better part of the last 2 years in a 1960s style 12' (actually 11'6) with a somtimes-working 4 hp motor. I fish the n and nw side of lake without issue. Look at the wind report for barrie and Orillia and go for it. I can help you out a little bit (not too much ) We fished the n side of the lake yesterday with a south wind and we fished out of a 14' with a 20 on the back.

Fun morning on Lady Simcoe. Managed 20+ bass between the two of us and probably lost at least 10. Took about 2 hours to find them but after that it was a good time. No big fish though but still nice to see lots of fish in the 1.5-2.5 pound range. Biggest fish was 3.4 pounds and was starting to beef up a bit. Pic of Jimmy with nice 3.4 pound small jaw.
-
This too is a Simcoe bass. I caught it and handed the rod to this kid I took out fishing. It was fat. I think it was a hair under 6 pounds. Very fat.
-
Simcoe Smallies get fat and in that pic you can't see just how fat. According to my scale, the fish I am holding in this pic is bang on 7 pounds. I wish I would have taken a pic of its belly from the underside to show the thickness.

Best Fishing Lake in Muskoka or Haliburton Region?
Cudz replied to rover1.5dx's topic in General Discussion
I like lake of bays. Bigger body of water and fishing is getting better all the time. -
My buddy got busted not once, but twice doing the 5 knuckle shuffle. One time on the Notty when fishing was slow. He went back in the woods, took the chest waders down to the ankles and began to do some white water wristing. He did not hear a couple of fishermen approaching. He did however hear tehm ask how th fishing was. Caught in the act, he just said with a smile "pretty slow". Second episode was in a boat up north. Slow aft fishing so he lay flat in the bottom of his tinner and began some hand to gland combat. A couple of canoers thought the boat was abandonned and rowed up to find my buddy in full swing yet again. OOps. The best part is that this guy creeps this forum so I will probably hear from him soon. lol

Nice job on the eyes. I was in the soo the other day and I had my fishing rod with me and I saw a kid catch a nice eye right in front of the hotel on the board walk. If I did not have to get up so early and drive to Thunder bay I would have fished. About the girl. Make sure she actually likes to fish. Congrats on the fish.
