This is the wieght I use for drop shotting. The quick snap, does swivel in the lead. Line twists are going to happen. What I do to get rid of the twist is,Remove all hardware from the line,open the bail and tlet the line spool off while the boat is moving. About 50 yards or so.After about 5 minutes I just reel the line back in,attach everything again and good to go. I have tried a small barrel swivel up from the drop bait,didnt help.

Terry gave you some good info there. Long leads and stick to the 80fow and deeper. You really cant go blind in the bay as it,s narrow enoughh.Just have to use the right spoon.Flutters work best. Also try the cheater. Suspended fish are very active.

Yes maybe the bears get pushed to different locations,have cubs,then more developing,move again,creating bigger numbers in smaller places for them. More sightings. Still like some have said,they will and do get nervy and sooner or later,there will be a mauling,then an out cry to kill the bears. If I had a farm,I would bet it too.

Here,s one I did 2002 You just fill it up with a bucket. The pump will airrate the well. When I wanted to empty the well,I just pulled out the hose,placed over the edge of the boat and turned the pump on. This was my first attemp. If I ever were to do it again,I would put a pump in, that would suck the water through the hull and an outlet for the dispersing of water.

Your talking areas like Angus, that have humanly populated and taken over thier space?(Yes I know theres a large population of black bears there and sightings are not uncommon) Im talking about areas like my pops ,that live on a 4+ mile rd with 5-6 homes. Bush mostly. Each year the numbers are going up. I understand this will happen over the years,but the bear problem is getting worse by the year. The sollution like you say may not be simple,but letting the tree huggers say whats best? Well like mentioned,time for the MNR and OFAH to get together.

Im not a bear hunter,but if our group had a tag for the fall hunt and one were to come by, I would take it. It,s meat after all. BUT,I just watched a coverage that the MNR dosent seem to be on our side, as far as hunters go. Large population of bears this year and over 1000 calls to the bear watch,all they have to say is take your bird feeders down til winter and put your garbage out the morning of pick up. The spring hunt was stopped years ago(due to heart bleeders from the big city,we all know this) Now with this being said,the ones that live with the bears,are being harassed by the bears. Pop has had one right up to the back door. He just fired a shot from the 12 guage and off he went. Has others now coming to the house. So my question is,is it the bears before us,or the other way? I know they were here before us,but to me IMO,it maybe time to bring back the spring hunt.

Off shore for top water on KBay is near none Marc. Perch and smallies here. Theres a breakwall at the bottom of Batfield street. Good fishing there at times. Also the fountian can produce some big perch,smallies and pike. The odd eye has been taken there at times aswell. If you want to try your hand for some river salmon,they have started to come up in Angus. Hot shotting a wiggler in the silver color, works best for me. Also casting a #1 vibrafox in silver works too. Just have plenty on hand due to snags.LOL You will need a lic to fish the part in town. Maybe pm fisherman where to buy it.
