What a sweet deal it was. Cabelas open 9 am. I B-Line to the bargian cave. Loads of tying materials marked down stupid crazy prices. 50-75 % savings. Loaded up. Then I see this wrapped up thing with just some brass showing. Pick it up,read the tag and say,no way. There is usually a note saying something is missing. I ask the lady if she could cut the tape and wrap so I could look at it. Sure as crap,it,was a Griffon rotary vise and everything was in the bundle. One motion jaw for all hook sizes .Reg $200 marked down to $19. I asked no questions. B-Line it to the cash, pay and yelling, start the Ram, start the Ram. LOL Out with the old In with the new

These are fun to tie. Still waiting for my pink and blue fur and flashaboo. I used a product called,Faux synthetic buck tail . It is a bit more trickier to tie as it is slippery . Use gorilla glue to secure the wraps. Eyes are craft diamonds. Just add black nail polish to the small dot to act as pupils and secure with UV resin. Some of the dumbbells already had eyes on them . These are my first try at them.

Noticed these little white flys on the river and wondering what they were. Looked them up,but nothing. Probly not looking in the right spot. Anyways,I noticed a couple of rises by small trout, so figured I would tie something close. I have been getting a bit creative with materials. Seeing things that I know someday I might be able to use. Since I wanted the body and thorax thin and small,I used this spool of white sewing braid. It was cheap.LOL My dry fly hook supply is gone, so used the next best thing I had. Learning a lot about how to make wings and getting them smaller and smaller. Used the tips of white blood quill. Can not wait to try them. So what are these little white fly's called ?

You are a hell of a guy to barter with, even when I did not even ask. LMAO

Barrie traffic has been crazy. Not sure if it,s the locals going stir crazy or others. Lots of bikes cruising around. Had a mass of about 30 or more cruise by. And there goes another.LOL The ramp had 2 boats at 5 am. Buddy was surprised as he got there for 4 am. While I was out on the bay from 5:30-10, I had 6 boats and 2 seadoos, 2 yakers and a couple in a canoe that had no PFD,s on. That was just insane even with flat waters. Temp was 4.3 C. As the air temp raised, the midge started to show.

I stopped by CTC ( you know the store right ) on the way home Albert. They had so many variety's of tomatoes.. I asked, where the hell are the normal beef steaks ? Young gal looked through the carts and found me 2. I was happy with that. If you like, I can grab a bunch of tomato plants for you , as I plan a trip down your way this week . Oh, they have Roma as well. Cherry's too . Let me know. You know where I hang out . 👨🍳

1st concert live I ever attended at Massey hall 12 yoa. Never knew what that strange smell was, till a guy past a cig, well I thought it was. Was a fun night. Fast forward to high school, and I got to relive the same, but knew what the cigs were . LOL

Started my Newfie garden. Wish I had a small plot to do this, as I do like fresh veggies . Since I do not, I am stuck doing it this way . One does, what one can right . Chives, beef steak tomatoes and peppers so far. Going to grab a few more large pots for Swiss chard and one for beets. Might get a long box for radishes and carrots. They will get sun most of the day, as they are facing south, and the sun moves east to west here.

Been feeding my friend, Fred the squirrel my end trails of stale home made bread, and he does enjoy it, but I thought I would make some croutons this time. Yes, he still got his share. Diced, tossed in a bowl of virgin olive oil. dash of pepper and salt, garlic powder and newfie savory. Toasted til just crunchy. What an aroma in the condo while this was toasting away . Not sure Fred would like this, but I will leave a square out for him to try. He is like Mikey,he eats anything. LOL Enough for 2 salads next week.👨🍳
