Wonder what would happen,if they closed the rivers (all rivers) Sept 1st,til Dec 31st.. Would natural reproduction be there??????
I say yes,and it would be great to see. But then again, you would still have those that feel the need to break the law.
Really wish I could SAY(in my own words),,what I seen over the many years. But here on OFC,it is forbidden. From the Ganny, all the way down to the hill of the Whirlpool. I could tell you stories, probly like many that fished it from the late 70,s on. Im sure my words of choice, would not be liked here. Truth hurts sometimes. It STILL happens to this day, and still,it,s the same.IGNORANCE.
What to do???????????????????
Cant say I have seen them do that Bruce, ,but in the early 80,s I would catch them out from the mouth of the Humber. The do like you say, give a good smack, grab and pull.
Just watched a plug about this on the local news.
Here we are talking about banning roe on a river, starters we cant get off, complaining about how long this winter has been, what song are you listening to,.sufix sucks,or it dosent. yadda yadda yadda
Back to REALITY

I use to golf at newcastle (many years ago). When all the players were off the course,I would hit the ponds and get some nice buckets. The owner had no prob,as long as I put them back.
I didnt mean pay the volunteers,I meant for it to mean, they will give money to the groups that are volunteering. I still dont see why they should put out of their own pocket. It,s should be 100% funded.
Like I said before, volunteering is a great thing, just shouldnt be at a great cost.
Hope that made sense this time.LOL
Thats my point Bill. Others are putting out their time and own money.Volunteering is great, We pay to play,so get the resource back the way it should be. This to me,is a bunch of crap. Get more CO,S AND THE MNR,back to the way it is to be.
