    Dont be so fast on that one Bill. They cure the eggs for consumption. I asked them for the roe,they said,we eat it.. Even watched a these guys clean a hen at the Angus cleaning station. They kept the head,liver and roe. Just threw the bones and fins and guts away.

    . From what I have been reading ,if it has the lid,it,s more valuable. It has a few chips,but other then that,it,s in great shape. I just did a spit and shine on it for the mrs,s. The last going price I seen was 75 bucks. Seems pretty low for a piece of old history. Hope some one here knows the value these days. Thanks

    Forgot to add,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Good job rp99 Im not into commercial brines/cures. At min,I,ll just salt cure and air dry til tacky..

    You made them perfect then. Thats how mine are as well. I dont tie and freeze,I just put the cured eggs in the freezer. A helpful hint. Wrap the plastic bag in news paper and tape closed.
