With having the most personal checks in many years by the MNR on the ice this past season,I have to disagree. Maybe ,just maybe,it is.

I dont mind change,but I,ll stick with what has worked for me very well on Simcoe. I cant complain.

This is the one I was talking about.

I dont dought fighting the fish will be a problem. It,s the strike that concerns me. For me,it,s the strike that will cause the problem with your running straight braid. Theres no cushion . That braid will pull so fast,it will rip the lure. If your running a long tag,I can see it having a bit more give,but if it,s a 10-15 ft tag behind the ball,it,s going to rip fast.

I know Terry runs braid with a leader (I think)LOL I dont go as heavy as Bill. I run 10 pd BG. witha 10ft floro lead using12-13.5ft rods Like said,the line is cheap and is good for what were fishing for.Also like Bill said,you will be ripping hooks right out of them with out that stretch. I understand your getting the fish in fast like a bass,but rigg,n for lakers like that is just not the thing IMO.

The one I really like is the Feel Free Lure 11.5. Cant post links or pics from work. It,s a bit pricey,but looks like it would suit my needs.

I walked away for a bit after getting 2 strikes yesterday and fished a good stretch of the creek and returned to have another strike and miss again. LOL After the first strike today,I didnt know if I would of got another chance,but kept at it. Ya,they are stupid .LOL
