  1. I was looking at that same pic last night also. Wondering what's going on in the area ice wise as my parents lake is all white weak ice now. Not real thick either.
  2. Nice going and good luck next trip
  3. thanks mud, that's what I thought it would look like but I'm better with a pic. Those Owner and other brand hooks with the keeper can add up in cost too (2ns pic)
  4. happy st paddy's day all

  5. And the door open a crack with the radio off...
  6. Got a pic of that set up Mud?
  7. Here he is showing of with one of the fish... LOL
  8. I get a bunch of drag pullers here. Never the wet sock
  9. The smoker and stir try is the only reason I have it but yes it's great
  10. Cliff, the above is how I smoked the walleye you loved at my place. I make the brine and keep some in a spray container to mist on the fish as it's being smoked to keep it moist. The fish rest's in that brine for 24hrs with the peppers resting on the flesh
  11. Brine: Soy, water, honey, sweet chili tai, pinch of brown sugar and then diced jalapeno peppers *edit to add* the wood used for smoking is key. I like apple & black cherry in the smoker together
  12. I have luck casting jig/grub's and dark bucktail jig's as Sinker said as well as in transition areas. Rocky shallow to a deeper drop off
  13. Joey goes in his cage when she's at work and or when he's here with me and the worst he's ever done was spill his water. He will suck on a 'stuffy' toy like a soother but not shred it up. She has Joey and the female Pickles she breads. Both certified and she is also a certified breeder. The 1st time I met Joey he would listen to me and do everything I told him, from sit to stay to lay... Each dog is different. I have seen some crazy dog's and amazing dog's of the same breed. My Sheppard's and Black Lab were all amazing dog's and wouldn't hurt a fly unless you tried to hurt me, my sister or any other of the family...
  14. Well John, if you ever were to consider a Weimaraner then let me know. My bestfriend is a breeder and her dog's a show dogs. SMART, powerful and easy to train for anything. I look after Joey (her "stud") every now and then.

  17. Mr B I had to live through you and the others this winter as I never found a day I was off that I could get out to a safe spot locally. Thank you fine sir for all the reports you share. Me, now, heading to my folks place next weekend with the kids and I AM bringing my gear just so I can say I hit the ice and tried IF it's safe.
  18. Peter Seto does deserve a ton of credit for this event as he's making it bigger and better each year. All for the love of the sport too
  19. They did, a school gym was/is bigger than before but from the pic's I had seen online (I was stuck @ work and couldn't go) they had a LOT of booths in there.
  20. I haven't even made step one this year so I'm on the NO step plan I gather... *sigh*
  21. As Bunk said I'm 100% with this. I throw on my lucky hat just to read the posts here...

Welcome to the site and good luck. Hey it's great your Bro tried either way so he could spend some time with you. As for locations, use the search tool here as in this day and age all current posts don't give up locations but the old posts may and they give you a better idea. There are a bunch of Barrie area folks here so with luck you meet some and become bud's.
  24. HAHA Nice outing for sure and thanks for sharing
