  1. I had 8' snow banks last year and I spread it out on the front lawn on the one side... I'm right beside an old farm so it's wide open winds... As for space in the garage? I'm not all that worried as we only use one side for a car as the other side is full of kids toys for my kids and my wifes home daycare kids... Thanks again all. Geoff
  2. Thank you all for your feedback! Ummm Cliff, you still in sales and selling snow throwers? I'm heading up to four mile lake this weekend from Brooklin so on Sunday on my way home I might be able to swing by for a quick chat... Let me know, thanks. Geoff
  3. will do, cheers.
  4. Umm, meeting at 10:00 down in the area. Open after that. I'll just keep the tie in the car... HAHA
  5. Oh, they spoil them all the time. LOL! What's your Friday like...
  6. I know Grant. The problem is, he's had a stroke and she's not able to get out there and do the work so most of last season I was doing the driveway for them just so he could get out and go to the Dr's. By having the snow thrower, it will free up more time to take the kds ice fishing...
  7. humm, interesting... tks rattletraps2. so I'm back up to $1000 then, lol. I need one to last for min. 5 years but I'll have 2 or 3 times the work load as I have 2 maybe 3 driveways each snow fall. Just helping out the retired folks around me when I'm out doing mine this season...
  8. I haven't looked at those Dutch as I didn't think it would do the job. It's a paved driveway, 2 cars wide and 2 deep. I get a rather large pile at the bottom from the plow so this is also why I was thinking 2-stage... So, back to square one, HAHAHA
  9. check the link I posted for you.
  10. I think folks are being "shy" is because your first post is asking for spots with out an intro... http://www.getnorth.ca/
  11. Thanks folks. Lunker777, if I go with a JD it's not going to be from a big box store. It will be from a dealer because of the support. I even asked the dealer what used items they had as I know the ones made a few years ago were good units.
  12. I have looked at the Ariens units but it's more $ then I have planned for. Yeah, I know Johhnyb tks. It was a yardworks one...
  13. You must not have gotten that Craftsman from him I'm just around the corner from him, just a bit North... Thanks folks for the replies. I was also looking at the Murray brand but wasn't too sure about them...
  14. Hey all. In need of some help here. I'm looking at the John Deere 726E and the Craftsman 2-Stage Snowblower with 9.0 ft. of Torque Item #: 711 952 946 10. These are very close in price so, what makes one better then the other? What would you buy? I know "nothing runs like a deere" but that's not a valid reason to buy one... Thanks folks. Geoff
  15. I'm in but I have shaved my lip and chin in 8 or more years so does it count?
  16. You can say that again. I met Walter and Wayne 2 summers ago at Wayne's golf tourny. I asked for a pic with the two of them and Walter said sure and then went wandering around looking for the ptotographer for the 3 of us to get the best pic... CLASS ACT all the way!!!!
  17. HAHAHAHA, nice to meet you too Grant/SNAG. I was down there Friday and was going to give it another shot but the halloween costumes at the bar we went to for lunch we just too good so I had to stay...
  18. Ummm Art. Did you watch Dave's full video? his was a joke if you didn't, cheers. I think it would have been better if he used a real worm
  19. I was shocked you kept from LOL while doing that spoof... good one...
  20. Thanks Jet. Look like I need to make a trip to home hardware now that I know the length used.... cheers.
  21. two problems. 2 kids ages 3 and 6 for one (need to get a gun locker). second, I'll be up there with you on my brother-in-laws land in "p" town and I don't think you want that...
  22. you better get your fish in the brine tonight then Paul
  23. good point! dang, I need to go get me so salmon...
  24. good luck getting that 10 pointer Brian. I'm thinking I may take up hunting in the next year or two but I just nead to read more on things like you mention; like reading the path and wind. shooting a gun is a non issue as I have fired many in my past Queens York Rangers history so it's all about stalking and being legit with the lic/tags. the funy (for me) part is I found myself reading the Lebaron fall cat. today and looking at all the guns. why? duno... LOL
  25. never in the house or cottage, just in the boat house. let me tell you, when they get in there and can't find a way out or food look out. I opend the door (hadn't been there in 2 weeks) to see the fishing rods all over the floor and this wee guy/gal dead at the boat doors with it's head up to the door. I guess it noticed it was stuck, freaked out and went full speed into the door and died. so far, that's 2 this year that have done that...
