  1. Rod $ only or rod/reel price @ $200?
  2. You have to look at the flyer mailed out or online. You are WAY better off to save and spend/buy a good one when you can rather then spend less and tinker. I can tell you that because I did that and REGRET IT! I would have more $ now in my pocket then going the cost saving way. Like I said, for me, this is a reel/rod/combo that is going to sit in my boat all year unless I need it.
  3. But Art said I'm in the good 95%...
  4. 100% you get what you pay for. For me this is a back up reel incase one blows up. My spinning is my go to stuff but my other baitcaster is a Curado 301 series for bigger fish. So I just want to have another combo that I don't spend a lot on and can do the job. the better BPS-JM series I'm told are good but that deal on the Curado for $170 (or so) looks like a back-up,back-up plan. I have been told any of the BPS-JM-Sig. series in the last 2 years (starting at the 'gold' one) are good. Don't spend $100 or less on a combo as you will either never learn how to use it well, never like it, or it will just die on you. I had the BPS Extreme combo and sold it as good as new for 1/2 the price in 1-year time. Just MHO.
  5. Me, I cannot wait for the snow and ice to go so I can get out and do this again... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-x-NiiedjM
  6. you did what with a fish?!?!?!?!
  7. My thoughts too. Oh and Boiler Room. Be yourself, open, honest, NO Bull, ask for the sale and have fun with it. If you are selling a product or service that you honestly think and belive is the best and you promote it that way in a true heart felt way you will do fine. PS, you owe me $200 for that info...
  8. How did you get through Roy? I spent the last 30 min trying to get a hold of some one on the phone. When I did, they have NO clue if they are going to get even one of the # JMX10HLD in stock. "We get what we get for these clear out deals" I was told... But thanks.
  9. anyone know if the JM sig reel that is on sale on the 25th comes in a lefty? if it does, can someone pick one up for me in a 6:4:1 ratio?
  10. um, who's the 5% then?

  14. and for those that don't know, the mod's have a sub forum that the rest of us cannot see. this is where they talk back and forth about who to watch out for and if a topic should be locked or deleted. oh and who goes on mod-q or gets banned too...

  20. Um, how the socks from BPS holding up? ahh, just messing. It was the first thing that came to mind when I read what you said TJ. So your marketing is working... I'm not going to scroll back up and see if it was Mike's post but that too is what I want to see in a show. Not worried about fishing in some far off place, just how to use the right gear at the right time. Hey Mark, welcome back. I might be joining the Durham club this year as Corrado's non-boater. Time will tell...
  21. did you check the BPS site? $44.99 ea
  22. Here he is at a fun run...
  23. In 5 minutes two cars decide it's a good idea to go the wrong way on Richmond St. No Toyota's were hurt in the making of this post. But they almost were...
  24. Thanks all. To bad you couldn't make it Frank and Dann.
  25. Yesterday we had a 10 person or so G2G onthebog and good times and good food was had by all. derby went from 3PM to 7PM and it was $10 per person for the biggest walleye of the day and another $10 for the biggest crappie. first fish of the day goes to Hud and it was in the mid 30's. a few small fish were caught after that. then it's my turn around 5:30PM. 16.5" on a tear-drop jig tipped with a minnow. that's young_one behind me. as 7:00PM nears closer everyone is jigging like crazy to get a walleye bigger then mine, no such luck though. at the end, there is a new "walter-weight champ", me... it was a great time, and the on ice fish fry followed by some crazy good wings was the iceing on the cake. Thanks for the fun times to all that were there! Geoff
