Left the kids at home and headed up to Jiggy for some R&R and a alone time weekend with Monique!! We saved so much money buying Carling and our tackle at Dollarama we splurged on some great food!! First off our Dollarama Derby Pictures. I caught two bass and Monique caught a small pike. I made a leader out of the wire we bought, but without a swivel, my line got pretty twisted which lead to an early end to the fishing. Ill have to find real leaders at a Dollarama somewhere. Our Tackle Plate First off here's my shining moments on FILM!!! and the epic smallie battle! Here's the pictures for the derby... We got three on and landed all three!! Then of course Monique had to out do me and catch this monster!!! (Shes such a meanie!!) So.. my entries... a total of 25 1/2 inches amd Moniques whopper - 10 1/2 inches. All fish live released!!! That night we went out pickeral fishing in front of the camp, caught two small ones for breakfast the next day and I snapped this shot. I hope my wife doesn't find out about me new girlfriend!! We also managed to drag the boat UP the rapids north of camp, Monique had never been there... We went till we saw another boat.. then returned home. Here's some other pictures from the weekend.. I love going up just the two of us, when we can take our time and prepare an awesome dinner. Night #1 - Crab Legs, Garlic Butter Fried Scallops, Jumbo Shrimp and Cheese and Spinach filled Ravioli in a Tomato Cheese sauce. Night Two was prime rib, stuffed portobella mushrooms (PS.. note to self.. dont wait till 10:30 to eat... uhhg...) and then wings on night three.. lol.. i was in too much of a hurry to take pictures... We did wake up to a VERY large bees nest under the eave of the camp, here's me about to do battle.... As always a great trip, not a lot of wild life this time, most of the ducks have gone early it seems. We did do a bunch of small jobs around camp. till next time!!

I generally don't post jokes.. but this one made me laugh... A curious fellow died one day and found himself waiting in the long line of judgment. As he stood there he noticed that some souls were allowed to march right through the pearly gates into Heaven. Others though, were led over to Satan who threw them into the burning pit. But every so often, instead of hurling a poor soul into the fire, Satan would toss a soul off to one side into a small pile. After watching Satan do this several times, the fellow's curiosity got the best of him. So he strolled over and asked Satan what he was doing. "Excuse me, Mr. Prince of Darkness," he said. "I'm waiting in line for judgment, but I couldn't help wondering, why are you tossing those people aside instead of flinging them into the Fires of Hell with the others?" "Ah, those," Satan said with a groan. "They're all from Ontario.................. They're still too wet to burn." Maybe its not that funny....

A little off topic here. Last year when we went to the Sportsmans show, Monique and I stayed downtown near the Eatons Center. One night we asked the desk for a good sushi bar, and they gave us directions to this place a bit west of Yonge Street. I can't remember the name of it, but it was fantastic. Moniques going shopping with Jaden in early August and Id like to try and find it again for her. If you've been there it will stand out in your mind, cause its only about the size of my kitchen.. 4 or 5 tables and a max of 12-15 seats. Its not a chain and there was barely any room to move around in there. To the best of my rather fuzzy recollection it was within easy walking distance, I think between the Eaton center and City hall.. perhaps a bit north... but definitely west of Yonge. Anyone have any ideas?? I cant find it on the net, there's just too many...

HEY!!!!! maybe I'm shrinking in my old age..

We are ready!!! Monique and I are ready, were headin up to camp on Thursday and are gonna fish Dollarama exclusively on Sat or Sun, whichever the weather is nicest on. We did well. We got a rod and reel, and lures for under $10 each, we split on a roll of wire so the pike don't bite us off .. the rods are great.. lol The bamboo rod is 7 1/2 feet which will make it great for trolling.... were gonna kick some Dollarama butt!!! I can tell there's gonna be some heavy taping to keep all the components together!!! I gotta say, I wasn't sure what we could get for $10, but we only spent $9.50 each and I'm thrilled!!

Thanks everyone, you can still enter till August 5th!!
-
GRANDDAUGHTER????? LOL.... Man.. I must be looking old... Nice to meet you Jocko.. I think the rod just has to be purchased there and we got two 6 foot bamboo ones... keepers for sure!!!
