I think its an annual g2g that has a lot of loyal attendees... that being said, g2g's happen all the time, like the fall ones, there's no reason why an additional on couldn't be arranged in the summer down south somewhere. I think also that alot of people who have been coming to this particluar g2g have learned some spots and are having success. If we moved it every time it would be difficult to get enough fish for the fry. Like the quinte g2g, if someone wants to try and put one together closer to the gta, thats fine by me.

Well after the Lakair G2G, and a few days of work, it was time to take back off to camp for a few nites over the July long weekend. Camp is finally pretty much set up and except for some cleanup and organizing there's finally no work to do, except the mandatory wood cutting and trail cleaning. Things were pretty uneventful, a little rainy, and the skeeters were bad only on the first nite, so all in all it was a very relaxing trip with lots of decent fish being caught by everyone.. really I caught a few too?? We did Stop at the MacEwans Gas Station in Latchford and picked up some cheap Lucky Strike spoons which we drug around and did very well on. Fluorescent Orange works well on the Montreal River, as well as Brass/Red. The spoons were under $2 each so we picked up the whole card full!! The guy at that station really helped me out of a trailer bearing bind, so I try to stop in and gas up every chance I get! The wildlife was out in full form.. didn't get any pictures though, but, this trip we saw 4 different species of ducks, a lynx walking along the shoreline 50 feet from the boat... that was AMAZING, 1 moose and 5 bears, two of them were very small cubs with their mothers.. very very cute!!! (for now) Here's some pictures and a couple of videos form the trip! This guy visited with us all week.. hes a bit fatter now than he was... My serious side The magic spoon!! We caught lotsa these.. nice fishery there, fish of all year classes around! Jaden and Muskie sharing the boat! NOW FOR THE FISH PICTURES!! Moniques got this funky cross armed pike vulcan hold she can seem to shake??? Avery Cleaned up with some nice topwater bass! And of course I always get the biggest one!!! Anyone know what kind of ducks these are?? they hung around the dock and were quite cute... they aren't blacks... Tons of wild flowers on the shoreline as well. Having a woodsplitter there takes alot of the work outta cordwood!! Runs really well!! We did have one nice fish fry.... done up with fresh garlic and butter!! Thanks Mr. Pikie!! My happy place We played "Sorry" every night.. Avery won most of the time.. I think hes sneaky.. that's what I think!! Ahh... the sunsets!! My motto is... "Happy Wife... Happy Life!!" Lasagna done on the BBQ!! Now I cant wait to go back, Off to Lingham Lake this weekend for a trip with some friends, then back to work for a while then hopefully another extra long weekend very soon!!

Ontario Fishing Network E-Magazine www.ontariofishing.net Volume 9, Issue 7 - July 2009 #103 Shallow-Running Cranks for Weed-Relating Largemouth By Tim Allard Weeds are one of the most important types of cover in largemouth bass fishing. Many anglers have become conditioned to toss Texas-rigged plastics, flipping jigs, topwater frogs and spinnerbaits around weeds because they’ll not foul easily on stalks and leaves. These lures will work well, but sometimes shallow-running crankbaits deliver better catches around weeds. If you’re not tossing crankbaits around weeds, you’re missing out on a big-fish producer. Here's what you need to know about this presentation in shallow water scenarios. When the Walleye Just Won't Bite By Justin Hoffman All of us have had tough days on the water - bad weather, equipment failure and fish that refuse to bite. Walleye fishing is often a game of chances, and when these fish shut down, you'll find yourself cursing all the way back to the launch ramp. There are a number of techniques and adaptations that anglers can use that can turn finicky fish into biters, and with practice and patience, you can turn that bad day into a good one, and fill that live well up to the limit in the process! Giant Early Season Smallmouth! By Tyler Dunn Summer is finally here and for many Ontario fishermen and women this means a trip to their favourite bass hot spot. There are many different styles of bass fisherman, whether you are a seasoned tournament angler or the weekend warrior that fishes around the cottage, smallmouth fishing can become a complete addiction. Smallmouth bass have often been referred to as the hardest fighting freshwater fish pound for pound. Netting By Pete Maina This subject is important for any species, but knowing how to properly use a net is especially important when it comes to big predators like muskie and northern pike. Done right, it’s the most effective and safest (for angler and fish) way to land and release fish. Who would win the wrestling match? Is my tackle capable?? By J.P. DeRose When selecting tackle for a day fishing weed lines for Largemouth Bass my boat takes on a very different appearance, almost empty like. There are 5 rods in the boat, 4 flipping sticks and 1 heavy action 7’ baitcaster for the senko unlike the other days when there are more than 20 rods in the boat. Grubs - A forgotten friend? by Steve Rowbotham One of the biggest misconceptions in angling is that those bright sunny days will either drive fish deep, or into cover. While often true, rules don’t apply to all fish, as a matter of fact, probably not even half. When you think you have things figured out, they will always throw a curveball. Can you vote everyday??

That is correct, plus the fact that lurkers represent a tremendous amount of traffic, which enables us to pay the bills.... Also.. from our Rules section.. "Please do not post VERY SPECIFIC information on fishing spots, ie pinpoint locations and maps. It is our belief that sharing this type of knowledge to the general public is not at all good for the resource itself. When communicating info on spots, please keep it to email or a PM." If someone sees someone breaking this rule, please alert an admin. we will delete it... we cant read every line of every post.
