  1. A few years ago I was headed up north late at night. A car passed me and seemed to be an inpaired driver all over the road. Called OPP. Stayed on the phone etc. Cops nailed the driver 20 minutes later. I pull well behind to see if they needed more info etc. Not impaired...had flown from overseas somewhere and rented a car at Pearson airport. Had been up for over 24 hours. Police seized the rental car. Dunno where the driver went. Thanks for going the extra mile FishinNAutographs!
  2. Got a buddy with a farm near Reaboro and they spotted four legged cougars this past winter roaming around. Was reported to MNR and confirmed others have spotted three seperate animals in that area.
  3. Glad you had a great time. Excellent pics Cliff and Sue are wonderful people...think they would give you the shirt off their backs if need be.
  4. TangledLines and I can come out Sunday. Yes we are married Will be nice to meet everyone, give a hand and have a visit. Got one set of waders to bring. Send a pm where you are located.
  5. I have used them for bass. Fishing slow seems to work well on weedlines. I have gone through a couple packs of the 1/4 Oz Perch style. One thing I found is if the plastic is left in a hot area the eyes fall off. Picked up a pack at BPS with the Bloodshot Colour. Should be interesting. Even the blade is red!
  6. Also as a former soldier myself I agree with you on this. I feel it is important to pay respect when a fallen comrade returns. I am moved by the support at CFB Trenton outside the fence and along the renamed HWY 401 Highway of Heroes. I am entitled to a "veteran" Ontario Licence plate. However like most former CF members you will never see one on my vehicle. I dont feel deserving of it along with most others I served with regardless of our service in Peacekeeping or wartime do not see ourselves as heroes.
  7. I bought the BPS Pro Qualifier parka and bibs last year. Couldnt be happier. The price is still insane her in Canada. Wife and I were at BPS yesterday and the price is still approaching $300.00 for each item.
  8. Wife will go every chance she gets. Sometimes I get too busy unhooking fish for her to keep a line in the water myself. Would be nice if she would handle the fish herself. Funny how we never go empty handed out of BPS. Always spotting something new and interesting and she just has to have it.
  9. Just got back from the show today. Great seminars. Got to talk with Italo Labignan, Dave Chong and Rocky Crawford. Walking around early in the morning walked past Al Lindner on camera with WFN TV. Large focus on boats at this show. The layout of the floorplan was somewhat different than I was told. Good way to spend a winter day indoors.
  10. We had the same idea as you...purchased a Garmin eTrex Vista Cx. Works great in the boat and in the car. Garmin has replaced it with a newer model Hcx. It is more sensitive. Map options are endless. Got it from Radioworld as well. Not familiar with Lowrance GPS. Hope this helps.Link to Garmin
