  1. Go get a big, cheap bag of rice to soak up the moisture. Works fast and cleans easy.
  2. They're a great boat, just not popular. I'd rank it amongst Lund, Princecraft, Crestliner in no peticular order. "Wendel" from the board loves his and would could probably add more insight.
  3. "At this point we decided to toss coins and make wishes"
  4. I know what everybody is thinking. No, it wasn't me.
  5. Cool, Rick and your Dad are coming?
  6. Removing the gimble pin might allow the rod to sit a little deeper. If you're really nervous about, pick up some high lb test leaders and use it as a lanyard connecting the rod to the boat. The way you are using it now, I don't think any fish or snag would pull the rod out.
  7. They don't have to monsters to take you out 270'.... 50-60' leads, another 50-60' oout to the planer boards and a couple good runs. Mike and I were out a couple weeks ago and he caught a 40"+ and the reel was screaming for at least a minute. I don't know how far that one got out but it was exhilerating! Well done MrEh Sr., Jr. and Rick, great report!
  8. Should I carpet or vinyl over my interlocking brick casting deck?
  9. I think "perfect" is a bit overstated judging by the overhang at the front of the motor. It looks as though the shaft probably doesn't run anywhere near parallel with the gunwale either. I'm in south London; bring the boat by tomorrow and we can have a look at it. I'll be working on my boat (new floor & casting deck) and I probably have some scrap aluminium that might help you out. -Brian
  10. Memories.... I remember my first Quinte trip. I fell asleep alone on a futon listening to the wind whistling blowing through the gap in the cottage door. The "drift". When I woke up, there was Joe. I'm pretty sure we didn't do anything.
  11. I was wondering how you made out. You were obviously too busy to send a message! Nice job Emil.
  12. Thanks for dropping in Sam. It sounds like an exciting new chapter ahead for you. Best of luck!
  13. I'll lend Brian my special Quinte spoon. MTP ran it last year, ask him about it. Joe, your cottage is easy to find; look for smoke and listen for laughs!
  14. Happy B-DAY Paul!!!!
  15. Well done Tony!!! How much do you want for your old boat?
  16. Poor visibility is one issue but the major issue is the overhang. By the time the rear wheels of an RV begin going down the ramp, the front of the boat is still way up in the air and too far into the water. It's a good way to swamp your boat.
  17. That rarely happens in Canada due to government regulated health care.
  18. Works fantastic for walleye on Lake Erie! ***Edit*** Ahhh, are you thinking to use the leadcore AS your worm harness? If so, I don't think there would be enough lead to make it worth the effort.
  19. On behalf of myself and the rest of the November Quinte crowd, thank you. Good luck with recovery Mike. I think ice cream and cold beer will ease the pain.
  20. If it was for fishing, I would be inclined to have pick-up with a slide in camper over a class C. More versitility but much less cozy. You could pack a dining tent for a little extra lounging room in good weather and make do with the camper in bad weather. Bruce has the solution for launching the boat with the front hitch.
  21. I'm confused; two months until we go? Or, the two months it will take you to recover?
  22. I laughed A LOT at last years GTG but 'smack that f-ing smile off your face' had me in tears!
  23. Mike, be careful not to smile at Gerritt this year.
  24. I'm exhausted just reading it! I can't believe you let MTP try to net that shark for you. Thanks for the report Carole! Alex, after I make the "slight left" at Egdeboro, how do I find your place?? -Brian
  25. You must have been exhausted to to have to take those pictures lying down!
