  1. Okay, okay, I get the message! You don't have to be so harsh! It's worth the wait, it will be exactly what I want and look like it rolled out of the factory that way... for when I'm retired. I was thinking of going out Saturday in it but it seems a soccer schedule is getting in the way.
  2. Where do I send the bill for consultation? I've been thinking about doing the same along the two fences surrounding our deck. One of which is a low chain link fence with 3' ceders on the other side. I think the vertical panels would look good but erecting them might take a little thought. Probably a project for next year when I have more time to put it off again
  3. It is a bit orangey but once you add windows it'll make a big difference. If you don't do anything at all it's still light years better than it was and I'm sure your neighbours would agree! Depending on what you have planned for the windows, stacks of planters on the long wall could create a vertical garden or you could consider a garden wall. Whatever you decide, you've added value to your property by refurbing the shed! Nice job!
  4. I can't think of anything I need and that's the most dangerous time to go to AO; you usually end up buying something you want. I think I should take a pass and tinker with the boat. Drop by if you're passing through, show me whatcha got!
  5. How about tonight? Give me a shout after lunch (have to sleep)
  6. I bought this charger on your recomendation and it's outstanding! I might get another one too!
  7. A Citica might be perfect for you. Using it five times a year, it's hard to justify big money. I still have and use a first generation Citica my wife bought for me some 15 years ago paired with a Compre rod of similer vintage. It's not the first combo I pick up when I'm out casting but it's always rigged and sees action.
  8. Pun intended?
  9. I'm pretty sure Fishing World has them; give 'em a call!
  10. You'd be hard pressed to be unhappy with any Shimano reel at any price. They're not immune to defects, although rare. They don't beg for regular maintenance but certainly benefit from it. In short, just a good lineup with quality components and are well manufactured. You might find other good values out there but I'm not willing to risk a couple hundred to find out. They've earned my loyalty.
  11. Set yourself up with a couple Torpedo Divers and you're good to go! They'll put you into your desired depth without the drag of dipsy divers. http://www.torpedodivers.com/
  12. Yup, TonyB won last year and Percher the year before that. Let's keep the winning streak alive!
  13. Sure, and how many inches do you want for the rare "shelled panfish" in the background?
  14. Bob and Daryl have a much lower center of gravity; not likely to be thrown out I think the important question that hasn't been asked is, is the boat okay? It surprises me that this doesn't happen more often. It's become as much of a race as it is a fishing derby! Let's go all the way with it; a Le Mans start with racers fishermen sprinting to thier tow vehicles and launching the boats (like Bronte at the begining of the GOSD only with better parking!). Hopefully this becomes a memory JP and Greg can laugh about and not a malady they'll be moaning about for years to come.
  15. Home Depot doesn't carry marine grade plywood. You may be confusing it with exterior grade. Hamilton Plywood is where I got mine.... $120 for 4x8x3/4 iirc.
  16. Leaking gas line I suspect. Replace the clamps on the hoses from crimp style to a proper hose clamp and inspect all the fitting up to the carb.
  17. Congrat's Jade, well done Mike! That boat has seen more muskie and trophies since the opener than it ever did with the previous owner! Hehehe I hope you put that one in the freezer for the next tourney! Well done Mr & Ms P!!!
  18. If I already had one, I'd use it. If I was shopping for one, I'd have an eye out for an 8 or 9.9. I've had 6 and 8 on my boat, both tiller (no remote throttle control). With no throttle control, I won't complain about lack of throttle response etc. but I will say that the 6 would become easily bogged down when trolling in heavy rollers. That's the true benefit of the high-thrust/big foot/prokicker models. They're designed for torque. You could troll up Niagara falls at 2.8mph. Having said all that, a 5hp might be fine for you depending on the weight of your boat and the water you fish.
  19. Make it easy, use AO all around. Attwood/Swivl-eze 238 series is 99% complient including two power pedestal sizes (raise/lower). The downside to the power pedestal is that it doesn't make a great butt seat post due to lack of height in order to comply. They do have a 32-36" pedestal for that rated as "B". One system covers it all. These products should be readily available at a marine dealer near you.
  20. Paid 90.4 including 5 cent discount this morning. Saved a bunch on 165 lts in the Suburban considering my discount runs out at midnight + the 8%. I just wish I had the vent installed on the boat tank, I would have put in another 75 lts.
  21. I'll second the Berkley storage tray. Not only does it seal well, it conforms to the rest of the Plano 3700's I have. You'd think Plano would have come up with that! Also, the compartments are removable from the tray.
  22. Roy wears his PFD on shore when there is a chance of rain. You'll also notice him avoiding deep puddles.
  23. Scanning all night and trying to show Percher where the fish were! LOL
  24. We heard the Tyee call on the VHF, congrats! Couldn't ask for a better evening to fish.
  25. Great report Joey! That boat cover shouldn't cost you a dime to fix. Percher blew his out on the first trip to Quinte and they repaired it. It's been fine ever since.
