  1. Thanks for the comments guys! Anyone nearby or passing through is invited to the Garage for cold beverages!
  2. Nice Esox there Moosebunk! You make Ice fishing look darn exciting!
  3. Nip, i'm aware of how enviromentally friendly direct-injection 2 strokes are. I have heard the quality oil required can be costly though!
  4. To my knowledge there's two rating plates on a boat, one from the US coast guard, and one from Transport Canada. I've never noticed a boat that these two plates didn't have the same power rating.
  5. 200 hours, gas and go, I'm assuming you added some oil?
  6. Wow, a 7 year warranty is impressive! I have a Yamaha 90 hp 4 stroke on a 16 foot Lund. It will troll down to about 2.2 mph.
  7. I found some U-bolts that don't stick up past the top of the nuts!
  8. No converter, downriggers run off the 12 v battery, two wire electrical cable required.
  9. I see lots of great looking boat projects posted here! Here's one of mine. I started this last year, but recently picked up a second rigger so I wanted to finish it off. I wired it so all I have to do is put the bar and riggers on and plug it in.
  10. Riverat, you be some kind of Oatmeal-eating, society shunning, recluse from KOM. I suppose you've got a E-Shelter already built at your "compound", no doubt with a lab to create a 'herd thinning" parasite which you will try to unleash on an unsuspecting world! Anyone who thinks "God" will save us need not reply to this thread. Chris, do you really think that there's no problem with the way things are going? Yes, maybe the current warming trend isn't caused by us. Can you really say that the enviroment isn't starting to suffer from our presence? I hope myself and the other "fear mongers" are wrong. I hope guys with Chris's opinion are correct! I really do.
  11. I have the Lowrance LMS-332C, its a great unit, couldn't be happier. Colour is the way to go if you can afford it, if you're on a budget don't sacrifice resolution for colour though!
  12. Cast-away, thats a good tip, it gives you the length of the boat worth of heads-up on bottom changes. I have a Minn Kota with universal sonar and a Humminbird up front. I think the universal sonar is the way to go, transducer is housed inside the motor casing and fully protected.
  13. When you come flying in here, spewing about how many degrees you have , it helps back up that claim if you are literate.
  14. You want fear? If you nay sayers care to pull your heads out of your...Oh yeah, Rick said i can't say that here...Anyway, consider the current population of humans on earth, nearly 7 billion. Take a look at the population predictions for the next 50 years...Now ask yourself what happens in nature when a species becomes overpopulated? The Earth has been here a long time, and she'll be around for a long time...We might not be though...
  15. I like to pick out my seat on the wagon about this time evey year!
  16. We here at OFC like it when you show off with fishy pics! Well I do at least!
  17. Well Roy, the Niagara and St Lawrence are both apart of Lake Ontario. You can bet there's a 65 lb. + Muskie swimming in Lake O right now... Probably one in Erie as well.
