  1. Thats a good lookin' fish! Full spawnimg colours, I bet the Ladies can't resist him!
  2. All the Odyssey info is here www.muskiescanada.ca
  3. I plan on buying my first Digital camera soon. I want a point and shoot, lots of zoom and a 2.5 " LCD. Anyone have anything to recomend?
  4. Welcome! Sounds like a great place to spend the summer!
  5. Thanks for that history lesson! Been meaning to do some research and refresh the memory...I'm sure I learned that in school, but its sooo hard to remember stuff from those years...Other than how to roll one.
  6. For casting from piers I would think a 8-10 foot med-hvy casting rod, with an Abu C3. Would also make a decent trolling rod.
  7. Thats a vague question...These are two very different fish, that happen to both migrate at a similar time. Do you plan to fish small tribs for Spring Steelhead? Or cast the piers for Fall Chinook? Or maybe target them from a boat in August?
  8. Don't "sit" on your wallet. Having your wallet, especially a thick one, in your back pocket while sitting for long periods can twist your Sacrum and lower vertebrates.
  9. I have found in my limited experience with Dipsey's and In-line planer boards that mono is just too stretchy...Last weekend I dragged a 2-3 pound Brown around for who knows how long, I realized it was on when I reeled in to change lures. I was using 20# Big game, 120 feet back, 50 feet out on an In-line board. Last year I found that using Dipsey's I couldn't get them to trip and reeling in was a b*tch! Lew, I agree with Dawg, In-line planers are real easy to use, I like the Churchs Tackle Walleye board. You might even try 'em for Muskie this summer!
  10. Richard, there's a PA guy on Muskystriker want'n to make a bet with a Senators Fan/Muskie guy, lure 4 lure. Go give him a nice Plow! GO DEVILS GO! GO LEAFS GO!
  11. I guarantee you that the Sabres are not liking the idea of playing the Leafs in the 1st round! GO DEVILS GO!
  12. Nice pics! I recognize that thin shale rock!
  13. I have a Yamaha F90, so i'm biased. I love the quietness of it! And I think it has tremendous low end power, it certainly pops my boat up and out of the hole effortlessly! A friend has a Merc Opti 115, frankly I find it so noisy(in comparison to my motor) I can hardly stand to be in his boat.
  14. Hey Dutch, I commend you for wanting to do this yourself. But the questions your asking make me think you should be having a Marine mechanic do the engine R&R...
  15. Scott, I would think that by now you'd be sick of catching Steelhead? After landing 2 or 3 thousand of them...
  16. Got out on Lake O this morning! Got the top up before the rain hit! Rob and I managed to get two Browns, his was a little nicer size but I didn't get a pic of it. Water temps were 40-41.5 degrees off Jordan.
  17. If your trailer reversing skills are abit weak, go to an empty parking lot on a Sunday and practice, pratice, pratice. A busy launch is no place to learn.
