  1. "Thems trollin' lures! You'll kill your arms either way!" How else would i get arms like this guy? yaya im definately serious. Im leaning towards the heavy heavy rods because i got about 5 other combos for lighter applications. Thanks for your help Pigeontroller.
  2. I'm looking for a heavier musky rod. Something that wont kill my arm when tossing/trolling 13" believers, grandmas, 14" jakes, Legend Plows, etc. The 7'9" St Croix Premier XXXH 8-20oz seems like it'll do the trick but i was wondering if i would be better to go with something like the 6'9" St Croix 3-8oz. How heavy is too heavy? What do you guys use for those big muskie baits on World Class waters like the St Lawrence or Georgian Bay? Im also considering the 8' Heavy Fig Rig Tooth tamer 8-40oz. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. LOL Detroit outplayed the Pens big time. The only thing that saved the Pens was Hudlers 4 min high sticking penalty. Great game none the less. Props to Zetterberg. He is one hell of a player.
  4. will this ever end?? i need to study!!!
  5. haha Darek gets em again Nice work. Darek you missed some good stuff with us today though. We learned a few new things lol
  6. The deer had a case of depression and hung itself
  7. lol im just kidding about the Timmies thing. Everyone loves Timmies no matter what job they have.
  8. 6 cruisers showing up to get the guy at Timmies isnt surprising. And You're signature about firefighters and police......you seem to forget the paramedics that come and save both of you....
  9. Im not bragging that mine is bigger or anything like. My personal best up to now is 15.2lbs. Im just wondering if there is another picture of the fish from further back so we can get a more accurate look at it. I have a few pictures where 10lbers look like they're 25lbers because of the angle or short distance to the camera. Its a solid fish but i wouldnt mind seeing a different angle of the fish from further away.
  10. Hard to tell the true size of that fish because it is so close to the camera. Looking at the guys finger size, i wouldnt say over 20 but none the less its a nice fish. Some people need to weigh bows because they have no clue about steelhead weight. If you didnt weigh it dont give estimates. Some people are so far off. I`ve seen many times of 12lbers being "16 or 18lbs" or 15lbers being 22lbs. Same goes for muskie. 50" can be 10lbs but it can also be 50lbs. WEIGH THE FISH CAREFULLY PEOPLE! lol anyways Nice fish.
  11. I hate BPS and don't really shop there. I buy most of my gear from JB's, Peters Tackle/ Bronte Outdoors, Fish On Line, Tightlines, Le Baron, etc. but mostly JB's. BPS is a ginormous ripoff american company. Nice to walk around and play with stuff. Thats about it.
  12. The "Newbie" ranking simply means he doesnt post every fish he catches. Dont let message board ranking fool you. Its completely different on the rivers...
  13. They invented these things called tripods. They sell for about $30. $30 sounds fair instead of killing a bunch of bows for some bad pics. Just a thought.
  14. haha pumpkins are the best fish around Hey Mark would you like to sell me your Shimano Calcutta 251? And no i wont trade my st croix legend elite for it lol
  15. Thanks Fang. Ya i am pretty sure i'm just gonna buy a Fig Rig Tooth Tamer along with another Calcutta 401.
  16. haha i was just about to say i think the young guy catching all the fish in Bowmanville would be Nater.
  17. Thanks Fang. I like them too but just want to make sure because i've read mixed reviews online. One guy wrote an article about breaking 4/8 fig rig rods but other than that i hear they're great. Breaking that many rods most likely means he's doing something wrong. I think i'll most likely pick one up soon. As for reels you're right. Cant go wrong with a 401 Calcutta. I spend lots of time (and money) at JB's and played with everything in there. Thats where i got the whole Fig Rig rod craving. Thanks Sebastian
  18. Been looking at Fig Rig rods for a while now and plan to buy a longer muskie rod in the 7'6-8' range soon. I want something for bucktails. I've limited it down to St.Croix(Avid or Premier) & Fig Rig. Want to find out some honest opinions on the Fig Rig. It feels very light but I`m not too sure on strength. Can anyone help me out?
  19. Posting current reports is actually pretty pointless. You show your spot to the entire world and you reveal prime time fishing. People need to go learn stuff out on their own rather than being spoon fed especially when it comes to shore fishing.
  20. In fisherman, Muskie Hunter, & Getting hooked are great shows. As for wanting to learn the where, when, why,how,etc.....umm that kind of defeats the idea of fishing. Cant expect people to give you exact GPS coordinates with water temp, setups, and lures. Get off your arse and find things on your own. Thats an awesome idea.
  21. Nice fish for sure but i have to agree with Nate. Whats the point of eating that fish? yes yes i know walleye are apparently great to eat but a 14lber out of Lake Ontario........mmmmm toxic lol GCD there is no jealousy intended there at all. Nice fish
  22. Nice fish. They obviously know the risks of going on the ice. The ice thickness/person or snowmobile chart isnt really that accurate because some of us are 150lbs and others are 400lbs. I rather go on 2" of ice than park my car next to 20 other cars with 12" of ice. Everyones got their limit of ice thickness they'll go on or the height of waves on a lake. I dont think you guys should attack them for posting their report. My 2 cents....
  23. My good friend Simon is a guide. He guides for all species but a serious muskie fanatic. I know he will guide on short notice for a good price. Just give him a call at 416 255 4739. We fished together on Sunday for some muskie and we found them with tough conditions. Got a few muskie, some pike, a rainbow plus a few monster muskie follows. Here are a few pics. Small one Nice surprise and the fatty of the day: Sebastian
