Hey tc10z http://www.helicoil.in/helicoil.htm Check out this site so you know exactly what it is you are doing with the Helicoil. Don't overthink it, they are really easy to install just make sure you use the right sized bit for the coil you are installing. Good Luck.

Hey fishfarmer I think they would be the Capt Paks, they are only about 20" or so long. I can send some pics a little later if you like. I am just heading out to Pigeon to try for some Wallies. I will check back here when I get back hopefully with some pics and dinner. Stan

My cousin lives in Elmvale, he tells me that it hit the Walmart in Midland and made a bit of a mess. Hopefully it dies out quick!

Sinker I have a friend with a 1999 Evinrude 150 ficht. The specific problems with that model are that the powerheads needed to be replaced due to bad injector placement in the head. The easy fix was to index the spark plugs so that they faced a specific direction away from the injectors, my buddy puts 2 to 3 sets of plugs in it yearly because they foul a lot when not running at WOT. There are many articles on these 1999 models with the problem. As far as I know it was only that year on a few of the bigger hp models that were affected. It just happened that the year after the company had those issues, they had the buyout. I don't think the two were related though. My buddy still thinks the motor is a great motor and runs real strong when not having plug problems. Here is a site if you want to get some solid info on a specific year or model. http://www.marineengine.com/boat-forum/forumdisplay.php?f=26 Good Luck Stan

Hey alexcba Way to go with the fishing, glad to hear you had some luck. I find that sometimes the lousy weather is just what the doctor ordered to get the fish going. Can't wait to see your next report with pics. (you promised) lol Stan

Hey Wayne, thanks for the info. I didn't realize that planes lasted 50 years with all the stresses of flying that are put on them! It took me most of my younger years to learn the makes and models of all the cars out there and what engine options were available. Too late to start with the planes too. lol Thanks again.
-
What kind of plane is that in Eddie Norths Attawapiskat Adventure? Curious because it looks so big to be jumping in and out of small lakes. I have been up a few times in a Beaver but it wasn't near this size. I also wonder what the wheel in between the seats is that the pilot is adjusting all the time. Went up in a Beaver at Beaverland (go figure lol) a few years ago and when we were coming in to land on the lake, the pilot came over the tree line real low to get on the lake and the plane dropped about ten feet real fast. The pilot was quick to adjust that wheel between the seats and go back up and come around for a second attempt. Me, I just wanted to get back to the cabin to change my gotch. haha.

Awesome fish the-instructor!! Try not to judge this site by the negative comments you recieve because there is always someone who will crap on your glory. Again, well done and go out and get another one. Stan

I guess the first few you caught were perfect catch and release specimens too eh Troutnmuskiehunter? Not once in your post did you congratulate your fellow fisherman for catching such a nice fish. I for one came on this site to learn and share my experience with others, not just blow people out of the water with your so called awesome experience. "sandwich a negative comment between two positive comments" and you will go a lot further here. Stan

Well said Johnny Bass.

Hey Dan Yeah, I like Starcraft as well and I also think highly of Smoker Craft. Our neighbor at the cottage had a small aluminum Smoker Craft for as long as I can remember and it was a great little boat. Maybe I should ask for more money. lol

Thanks guys for all the replys. This place is a veritable library of knowledge. Gotta like it!! Stan

Well then, I guess that solves that mystery! Thanks for the info JohnBacon. SS

Very nice fish!! Congratulations. How wide is your boat, just to get an idea of length?
-
The boat that I am trying to sell had Legend on it when I bought it and now that I am selling it, I was asked for some capacity info for the boat and I went to the capacity plate. The plate says that the Manufacturer is Smoker Craft out of New Paris, IN. I am a little confused, is it a Legend or a Smoker... Anybody??

Best little image resizer for Windows
fishinfool replied to fishinfool's topic in General Discussion
Hey floatman55 I have been running it on Windows XP for some time now, I guess it is not meant to be run on Vista. Maybe they have a program that does the same thing over at the Vista site. -
This little resizer is from Microsoft and works great for resizing your pics. You can do one at a time or a bunch at once. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx Download "image resizer" from this site.

Nice to have you aboard Hauki, keep the reports coming. I love to see the size of some of those finish fishies. Suksi vitoon!! (Is that the right spelling) lol

Just get yourself valves that are "normally open" and take power to close. They can be purchased either way.

Yikes, okay I may need to print a retraction...

Hey crappieperchhunter, it really does suck that we have so many bozos on this site. Glad to hear you did well on the "bog". I might get back out in the next couple of days, I hope they are still hot. Stan
