  1. They all work. Just depends on what the fish want that day
  2. Auto stow/deploy is a slick feature.
  3. They make some good sticks and the price is definitely right.
  4. Which is why I suggested link just for the fact that you can control it from the Bird. Easiest way to do it is just to drop two waypoints on the HB and go back and forth between them. More then a few ways to skin a cat Would be nice if you could follow the contours on the Navionics chips, because the Lakemaster coverage for Canada is garbage. Although no maps for this specific lake anyhow.
  5. Google Photos and never have this problem again. I set the hook on a bass this summer on GPool, I was standing on the back casting deck of a buddies boat and off go my Maui Jims. Spent 20 mins looking and couldn't find them. Dropped a waypoint and came back at the end of the day. Spent 5 mins and what do you know, I ended up scooping them up with the net! Best catch of the day.
  6. No need to go expensive on a hardware rod. A Raven or even a Shimano Clarus will suit you just fine.
  7. You definitely want Link especially when creating tracks on the HB. I control the Terrova from the HB for the most part. Create track, and just get the boat to go back and froth between two points continuously at a certain speed. Nice to be hands off when making cast after cast after cast.
  8. North Caribou Lake would be one I'd put on the list for big pike and basically unlimited walleye.
  9. What are you going to use it for? Hardware? Float? Bottom bouncing?
  10. That's all dependent on what you're fishing for. Sometimes I'm looking for rock piles/weed edges.. Sometimes I'm looking for active fish (Fall suspended smallies or lakers are a perfect example)
  11. Didn't Limeyangler go down there and lay a beating on a bunch of fish? Unless I'm thinking of someone else?
  12. I never use my front unit on a specific lake we both fish. I stated that in my reply If you've fished it, you'd understand.
  13. I'd suggest searching Google 'Mississippi Lake fishing ontario'
  14. There were more then a few guides out there yesterday with clients. Seriously, do people care more about $$$ then their own lives? Stupid.
  15. 24v is all you'll need. You've seen my rig, 80lb Terrova on the front will last me days before recharging on good batteries. I've got a HB 958 up front on the bow attached to the US2 in the Terrova. And really for Nip unless you're fishing lakers or pike, I don't even turn the sonar on, lol. My console unit has all the cool stuff (SI, DI, etc). The only other thing I could see that would be useful upfront would be a SI tranducer. That can easily be attached to the Minn Kota if you wanted.
  16. Under those river log jams for those big residents
  17. How did a thread about XWRP warranty scams somehow turn into a thread about rouge Imams? Stay on topic man.
  18. Don't over think it too much. I'd run braid then change up your leader when conditions call for it. No way I'd run a flouro mainline, the stuff is just awful.
  19. Uh, why wait so long to jump out and try to scare him? Probably scared the crap out of that bear and himself, lol
  20. It's neat, but It's not $2000 neat.
  21. Yup, braid for me on basically everything but the downrigger rods and my UL resident trout setup.
  22. Man that looks awful. It's going to be a few weeks yet I guess.
  23. Yeah, that's like a beer league missed play there. Winger out to the D in a defensive zone draw loss. This is basic basic hockey, lol. Hell, I'd lose my **** if the winger in my beer league failed to do that lol
