  1. Roy, it's funny you say that. I have a buddy who's been involved in the muskie game for a long long time. He's told me more records have been caught and released then people even know. I've seen some pics of him with a certain other muskie legend and could not believe the size of the fish they had.. If it were ever posted (and it never will be) it would blow peoples minds!!
  2. Proper english and a wee bit more attention to grammar would really be appreciated by all of us trying to decyfer what the hell you're trying to say.
  3. I am SO happy I didn't turn around and see what was happening back there, lol!!!
  4. I think I remember something about the side bracket, the 2 horse and us almost swamping.. But I was up in the front having to much fun!!!
  5. The bull trout is apart of the char family (just like the brook trout is)
  6. I've got clue enough to catch a few nice brownies down at the Niagara on my float gear Silly perch fishermen...
  7. Maybe I'm targeting the wrong places! lol
  8. By bottom bounce I mean 'bouncing my bait along the bottom'
  9. If your float is 'zinging' under anytime you touch bottom you are A) either running way to long, or You have way to much weight and it's not setup correctly. On certain rivers you can run shot close to your bait and not hang up (Lake Erie south shore tribs for example) where the bottoms are fairly clear and not to snaggy. Do that on the Notty and you'll have a very crappy day. Different rivers call for different setups (obviously), but if you think I'm running 1-2ft above bottom and not just tumbling along like you are, you'd be wrong.
  10. The lake I'm planning fishing is still frozen solid
  11. I was just wondering because you said backlakes. To me that means lots of hard work, lol!! Sounds like you and your sons could have a lot of fun with this boat
  12. I bottom bounce all the time with my centerpin. Just because it's under a float doesn't mean it can't bounce across the bottom
  13. If you can drive to those back lakes then I doubt you'll have a problem, but bushwacking even a small distance with that thing is going to be almost impossible.
  14. Bob, there are a few rivers around you that fish REALLY well after a rain. Next time you think it's going to blow out, at least go down and take a look. You might be surprised
  15. Those little chromers are awesome, especially out of that river. Wait until you tie into a 5-6lbr!! :) I agree those signs should be everywhere and a lot more visible. I had a guy ask me last year if he could keep the fish he caught, I asked if he read the sign on the way down.
  16. I like Troblys as well, it would just be nice if the store was double the size. So much crap in there it's insane, lol..
  17. Nice man! Looks like gin clear conditions.
  18. Easy choice, Weber Q 100.. This is what we use and it's fantastic!
  19. It's not like its uncooked chili, it's already been cooked! Sans a little freezer burner (maybe) it will be fine.
  20. Put enough down to avoid the CMHC fees.. Also the limit for the one time RRSP withdrawl is now 25k, minimum amount to avoid the CMHC is 20% down. I also pay my mortgage at a higher rate then I'm actually being charged. This takes a nice chunk out of the principle everytime I make a payment. Gotta remember, you pay the interest first
