  1. Aren't you the one telling everyone a 4WD drive is more to maintain compared to a 2WD? If that's the case, then at least post some facts.. You haven't given anyone a good reason as to why, you just keep telling us it will cost more to maintain X over Y. Simple facts man, either post them up or quit with your inaccurate assumptions.
  2. You could keep over your limit and out of the slot all week... Checking you while you're on the lake makes the most sense, not when you're flying back with the outfitter.
  3. Terrys story is hilarious!!! LOL!!! So many violations happening close to home (ie on all the east ditches during salmon season) but these guys would rather spend $$$$ flying into remote camps? I must be missing something here.
  4. I like your standard ice fishing jigs along with really small tube jigs. Gotta keep an eye on your sonar as well, if you're 10ft off the spot you won't catch a damn thing, lol!
  5. I do the best in the fall to be honest. Find those deep weed edges with green weeds and you'll find the fish.
  6. I've been saying it for a while, if Ranger doesn't straighten up he needs to be sent back down to the Marlies.. It will be nice when Fraser is back in the line up.
  7. So you're making these broad ASSumptions because of a single post someone made here? Wow man, that's pretty hilarious! For someone who's probably never even owned a 4WD truck before, you sure think you know a lot about them. What are you going to say when I tell you I just did rotors/pads for the first time on my oldmans '07 Duramax with just under 90k on it? And trust me, it has pulled and stopped more then your truck will see in a life time. By your definition, shouldn't have those brakes wore out in like......20k?
  8. Who said a 4x4 will have less maintenance compared to a 2wd truck? What we're saying is that the maintenance required for a 4x4 is about the same as your 2wd truck. That's it... Weren't you the one making the outrageous claims like a 4wd truck goes through brake pads twice as fast as their 2wd counterparts?
  9. Sounds like you're about 5 months too late. The southern shore isn't exactly a hot bed at the end of the season.
  10. Man, you gotta stop making stuff up, lol. I'm sure we'd all love to hear how your 2WD truck goes through brake pads half as quickly as a 4WD equipped truck. That doesn't make any sense.. As for the mileage? Wrong again.. You realize you have all the drivetrain losses a 4WD truck does as well right? Perhaps you think guys are driving around with 4WD engaged all the time?
  11. A used 60in shaft 24v PD will probably cost you $400, new batteries, plug, onboard charger, it all adds up man Although really all you need is the motor and the batteries.. The charger is nice, but it's not required.
  12. Buy everything used, should we well under $1000 even with new batteries and a onboard charger.
  13. FYI, you can also refuse the package due to the fees and negotiate a lower rate. I've done that a bunch of times with UPS when they were asking for something like 50% of the value of the package itself in brokerage!!!
  14. That's nothing to complain about at all.
  15. Lots of worms out with all this rain, I'm going to pic a dozen or so and give it a shot. Might up size to a bigger circle hook as well.
  16. Go as big as possible. You can never have enough power up front.
  17. 24V PD is probably your best bet. I've got a 80# 24V Terrova w/I-Pilot Link on the front of the Lund and it wasn't what you'd call a bargain, lol!
  18. Yeah, but how much over standard shipping are you paying? They get you one way or another
  19. Where I like to go in my truck, 2wd just isn't even an option.
  20. Never...EVER ship something from the US to Canada via UPS/FedEx, you're just asking for a nice fat bill. USPS or nothing.
  21. The 2WD versions are the bad ones, a lot 2WD guys actually upgrade to the 4x4 unit bearings.
