BMW has Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan beat according to people who actually study these things. EDIT: Shoot I should have looked closer at my own stats, BMW is tied with Toyota. Mea culpa.

I live in an apartment building in (near) Toronto so the idea of having no one around half the year sounds like heaven to me....
-
Neighbors must have loved that!!!

It's a lot of fun, even just as a guest. I think that range is about $700 a year, which isn't crazy at all really. Hard to fit in the budget though when I'm selling my boat because it's costing me that much a year in storage (and also because I'd like my kayak better!). If I had some land I'd do the same as you for sure.

Good point - I didn't realize it was that deep.

My gf shoots clays sometimes at the Galt Sportsman's Club and seems to enjoy it. I'm shooting a friend's guns at his home range in those pics. I'll get my own someday but right now not in the budget, sadly. I'm surprised there isn't a place up there for you to shoot clays. Seems like there'd be lots of interest...

I hope so too. But I'm not going to be naive. I saw more than a few street guns in my teens. He's smarter than I am so hopefully you're right.

I have a Terrova. I love the spot lock feature, and it works well. It's great when you hook up you can spot lock while fighting a fish and not worry where the wind will blow you. I'm not a MotorGuide guy (Minn Kota and Humminbird for me), but I have heard their spot lock is better unless you get the newest gen Terrova.

So yeah, I helped get the other topic locked down (with a little help from my friends so to speak). Rules are rules, and I opposed the no political thread ruling at first, but now I think it's best for the community. I thought since I may have given some of you the impression I am "anti-gun" I would point out that I greatly enjoy target shooting, and I even shoot an AR sometimes. Here's a couple pics of my 14 year old Son and I shooting at the range. I am glad he's been taught proper gun handling and safety. I believe having used therm he will not have curiosity about guns and will be safer if he sees one (at a party, from a friend, whatever). It's a good pastime (although expensive!). Post a pic of yours if you like.

You're probably right. I was just thinking if it gets warm enough for am algae bloom, I'd be surprised the walleye would want to be in there during summer.
-
Does anyone know if the walleye stay in there all summer, or do they go out the main lake?
-
Here's a suggestion: -hire a few less ICE agents to kick out the people picking your fruit, and instead hire officers to follow up with people threatening to kill people with their AR and take their AR away or charge them, or commit them to a mental health facility for evaluation. This guy regularly posted things like this on social media: -"I whana shoot people with my AR-15" -I wanna die Fighting killing s**t ton of people" -"I am going to kill law enforcement one day they go after the good people." But there's nothing we can do right?
-
Sorry, you were a minute too late for that claim to be correct.
-
I really find it disgusting that there are seventeen kids dead today because they went to school, the guy who did it warned repeatedly and explicitly on social media that he would do it, and you're saying there's nothing that could be done and if you have any ideas I don't want to hear them because you don't support "my party".

How is this not considered a political comment? Can I start bashing Donnie and his Repubs now?

Great read, thanks. Being in Markham I can't see myself making the trek to the Hammer, but for guys that live out there this is great news.

I guess I'm in the minority, I've had three BMW's and they were all great. Not to say they were trouble free, but they were great cars. I had a '77 320i, no power steering or brakes, four speed manual trans. It didn't have a lot of power but it drove like a go-cart. Next was a 1981 528i (yes "i", not the junky "e"). It didn't used to like to start after a snap freeze, but other than that it was awesome. It looked great and also handed like a go-cart. On a twisty road I could run with my buddies 5.0 even though I had nowhere near the power. It was tight. More recently I leased and then bought out a 2009 323i. It was a "stripper", only two options, heated seats and sunroof. I had to get it shipped from the factory in Germany to get standard! I would have liked more power but it was not in the budget and the manual trans made it fun if not fast. With good snow tires it was truly amazing in winter. It never broke down or had anything fail in six years. In the end I traded it for a truck to tow a boat, but I still love my BMW's.

I agree with the guys above. I had a Power Drive on my last boat and have a Terrova on my current boat. Even if it didn't have ipilot the Terrova would still be better. Ipilot is awesome on top of that. I don't use the foot pedal but I've heard the Terrova's is better too.

I dont live in the area, but it's nice to see a Canadian owned business expanding. Now if only they'd come to Markham. It's Oshawa or Vaughn for the nearest SAIL for me.

Recommendations for a wknd ice bungalow trip
Dutch01 replied to Smokercrafty's topic in General Discussion
Last night on Facebok IceBungalows.com (Dennis Johnson) posted that he had one super bungalow left this season. Better call quick! Anglers Haven another great operator but not sure if they have any vacancy. -
Albert Einstein was, in my estimation, the most brilliant man that ever lived. He didn't have a lab full of instruments or any assistants. He worked a shift in a patent office, and his boss let him stay late to work on his own ideas. The result of his thought experiments remains to this day the most comprehensive understanding of the physics of the universe we have. That is undoubtedly his finest achievement, but he also understood some things about humanity. He once said "I live in that solitude which is painful in youth, but delicious in the years of maturity." I think I know what he means. The older I get, the more I appreciate time fishing alone.

Same here....

That was fun to watch (except you losing your trout) - thanks.

I think what PUMP KNOWS was saying is the computer shows stock but there really isn't. It's happened to me with couple of CT clearance orders. I boughtonline for in store pickup which was confirmed but then they sent a cancellation. When I went back to the website it then showed zero stock.
