Via Facebook A suspect has been charged by members of the Peterborough County OPP Marine Unit after a dangerous boating incident occurred on Rice Lake on September 26 around 7:00pm. Investigators were able to obtain video footage of the incident which showed the suspect driving a speed boat at a high rate of speed through a group of 25-30 small fishing vessels. Police say the suspect circled and drove between the fishing vessels several times almost causing them to capsize. The speed boat and suspect were identified by anonymous members of the public after local media outlets reported on the incident. 48 year old Randy Crossen of Cobourg, Ontario is charged with Dangerous operation. I was told someone was doing this at the mouth of the credit this fall while guys were chucking for salmon from shore. They would come close to shore and to tangle lines. Some people got spooled

A few weeks before that they had them for $6.99. I managed to grab 19 at the time and gave a few to my fishing buddies I find these aren’t made with balsa anymore. When I look at the joint it’s plastic compared to my older j13s that were balsa I stocked up twice when I had the chance. I was told they received 200 units This shop is in Oshawa called Gagnons. Give them a call first if they still have them in stock

Wow, that’s so lucky! Last year I saw a guy bottom fishing for salmon at the pier. He just made a cast and just placed his rod down while taking a seat on his chair. Next thing you know his rod gets pulled in the water. A min or two passes and you hear a few guys down calling fish on! The guy ends up hooking onto the dudes rod. He unhooks the rod and the original guy came in and fought his fish and lands it. Very lucky.

My only concern with the 30lb is if I were to fish and the wind starts to pick up, I’d want to feel confident that I can make it back to shore as fast as possible. I guess with a 40 or 45lb I’d have the peace of mind I can make it back with no problems. Thanks for the info. I’ll look for a deal on a 40 or 45lb. I think 55 would be overkill for this setup. Also how long does a trolling motor last you with a fully charged battery?

I saw that on the marketplace and it looks dope. Do you find it more stable then your other pontoon? Also I’m interested to know how well a 30lb trolling motor would be on it. My friend has a 30lb Minn Kota that he only used a few times and wants a $100 for it. I’m wondering if I would need something bigger like a 40 or 45
