  1. They laugh at him? Really? I would've thought snowmobilers would be all over the float suits. I guess they don't look "Nascar" enough for'em...big opportunity for the guys making these suits to make some more coin and pander to the the snowmobile set who need to look "cool"
  2. Did you ask his wife? Maybe she knows where he gets all his vibrating stuff....
  3. try "floating de-icer" Here's the first one I found....I guess the trick is finding something battery powered... CLICK HERE
  4. No clue...but if you find out....post it up!! Sounds very cool!
  5. I made it out on 3 mile for a bit...in the shallow end by Dee Bank...too bad about Windermere...although it sure would be nice if Rosseau froze up without any snow on it...makes walking a heck of a lot easier.
  6. Nicely done, guys....keep 'em comin!
  7. Good luck! If we don't hear from you, we'll assume you did SO well that you're keeping it a secret too??
  8. Nope, he's back in the game, operating from his house on Bay St. in Callander...will be keeping a bunch of stock out at Deepwater Pt as well....long live Big Ed!!!!
  9. LOL -- thanks for the clarification Dawg
  10. *HOWL* Ya know...with your rugged Harrison Ford-esque looks, and what many have called my striking resemblance to Chewbacca...we could make quite a team
  11. Call up BigEd in North Bay...not only is he THE man when it comes to bait, he has no trouble meeting you dark and early. 705.492.3941 Great guy....totally worth the ten minute detour off the hwy to pick up bait on your way north
  12. LISTEN to Limey!!! The Force is strong with him....
  13. Sounds good, Scot!! Bring us back a report...I know a few people have been out already....but be careful!
  14. LOL...thanks Terry...I'll try harder next time Word on the street is that it's pretty solid right now...seems to get lost in the shadow of Nipissing PHhhhheeeeewwwww!!!!!! I just about started to cry!!! Yes...so far I'm lucky that she's supportive of me going out on these trips while she takes care of Baby Laker...but I'm torn between missing her company on the ice, and finally getting a shot at catching something myself! Not me.... YESSSS!!!! No rockbass so far...it's a good thing!!!
  15. Nice to see you guys out on the ice...VERY nice toy, Terry! I was wondering about hanging my skim-ducer from a hunk of foam...now you've proven it works..thanks! Looks like my old hockey stick is safe...for now....
  16. Well, I've probably caught perch that were bigger, but I don't care! I finally got my first walleye through the ice....must still be some of that good luck from Lloyd rubbin' off on me! This little feller came from Nosbonsing last Sunday...followed immediately afterward by a snot rocket, then silence for the rest of the day. Cousin Bicephalic managed to light up a few perch here and there....felt great to be on the ice! Yes, the grin is bigger than the fish! Still grinning about the walleye...this pike was hovering under the hole probably trying to eat it Did I mention it was my first walleye through the ice?!?! heeheeheeeeee Merry Christmas to meeee Tight lines, everybody!
  17. Ahhh, c'mon Terry! An hour to my house, then 2 hours to the Q. Get down here, and I'll drive the rest of the way!!!
  18. I had no idea y'all could throw down like that!!! Ya got mad skillz I tells ya!!! Merry Christmas, man...hope you had a good one
  19. Ahhh...I was under the impression you stuck to Cook's...we GOTTA meet up this year I'll PM you when I'm going out!
  20. Way to get out there early, Terry! You going to try for any trout on simcoe this season, or stick to the perch?
  21. It's a Christmas farkin' miracle!!! Way to go man
  22. MMMM....ice on Temagami...one of my favourite things to hear!!
  23. Awesome stuff! I know where both of you guys are...would be great if we can hook up this winter
  24. Thanks for the links, GBfisher! LunkerHunter -- yep, I'm talking about the same lake. My parents are in DeeBank, at the outflow end of the lake. I don't fish it too much during the winter, as the lure of trout is so strong I'd love to get out there with you though...never pulled anything except perch and rockbass through the ice on 3 Mile. I would bet that right now, you could walk in the shallower protected areas on 3 Mile, but it could still be a bit dicey across the whole lake. Just called up there for the latest report, and basically the lake is covered in snow...no tracks except for deer tracks. I still think with all the cold weather there'll be enough to walk on in protected areas...but I hope to have a new year's report Will keep you posted!
  25. that's great, Sudsy!! I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread...and I'm definitely bringing the auger up at New Year's...just in case...
