Maybe he's at the stage were he would rather hand out with friends then with his dad, or maybe he jsut really doesn't like fishing. You shouldn't really push him into the sport if he doesn't like it.

I got caught in it last night, amazing how quick it came off the lake.

I've been out to lake erie few time this year and eevry trip I seen a carp with soem kind of diseae on it slowly swimming and dying, and just last night I saw a few minnow witht he same thing. Here in this picture you can't see it clearly but thiers a big white tumor on it, kinda what the carps had.

Also have a quick question on carp spawning. I was out on the pier last sunday and it was a gloomy rainy day. But thier were huge carp jumping around everywhere like crazy and when night rolled around you can hear the big canon balls they were making. Were they maybe jsut jumping around because their was a storm aproaching? They were doing full leaps out of the water. I first I thought maybe they were feeding on flies but it was raining so their wasn't any.

I once caught a catfish that sucked the bait through it's gills and swallowed it, would that be considered as a snagged fish?

some good links thier. I have just started using a hair rig and jsut want to ask when do you set the hook? I haven't got a bite on it yet so I don't know wheter to expect short tugs or one big one. Any advice?

Yea nice report man, and I'd say carp scale as well. And a very big one too. And as for the bruising I have noticed it in some smaller cats this year and even have pulled out a few cats with big pike slashes across their belly.

I got my lisence checked this year while fishing for catfish at 1am by 2 o.p.p officers Maybe thier will be more o.p.p doing lisence check's this year.
