  1. Your best best if you want to get the present axle serviced without towing it and doing any more damage or worse: Park it. Jack up the trailer frame and remove the axle from the springs.
  2. Admit it, if it wasn't for the money and bragging rights, I'm sure there wouldn't be as much interest. As much as fish in general may be on the low end of the proverbial totem pole, they are a food source for other species. I find it sad that man has to go around "just because" he can, wasting a resource. If they were required to keep what they catch with no culling and injuring fish, there's still 4,5 or 6 fish to tally up and enter. Then go eat them. Oh, for those who wonder, I'm not a P3TA freak, if I catch some, I eat them, unless they're out of the legal size.
  3. Well that makes at least 2 of us that haven't become hard core addicts. I'm not talking a Cheech & Chong monster doobies with smoke billowing that could hide the Queen Mary, I don't need any more than a small peanut size piece to achieve the sleep factor.
  4. Amen about over greasing.
  5. Canadian Bearing, 160 John St, Barrie. 705-726-3030. My 1 inch ones slide on with no effort. After a bit of digging I found an axle with a 1.062 diameter which is pretty darn close to your measurement. Appears you may have a 1 1/16" axle. Hopefully this link works. https://picclick.com/TWO-Trailer-Axle-Spindle-42-6000-7000-W-291686429027.html
  6. See, there's that parent problem.
  7. I'm sure some of the problem also lies with parenting or a complete lack there of. I'm glad my old man kicked my ass when needed and that was passed onto my boys. Best thing I ever heard from them, they thought I was a miserable jerk compared to other "fathers". As they got older, they now realize the benefits of proper parenting compared to being "friends" and have told me that. Both are doing well and have a gorilla grip on life.
  8. I like when they ask where to go ice fishing. Under the ice. Now go explore
  9. Used to be most newbies took the time to introduce themselves and give us a bit of background to what they did, what they liked to fish for and what info they could provide. Seems like that's gone out the door too, maybe too many holes in the net.
  10. 460 fish dead, very unlikely as I would believe most of the contestants are there for the money and would not keep the fish for consumption. If it was a catch and keep derby, you'd probably find a "number" of fish disposed of rotting away.
  11. Maybe it's time to stop playing C&R with this resource. Nature paying the price for the amusement of humans.
  12. And there's no way you're making gravy out of veggies.
  13. Fast processed garbage food, no thanks.
  14. Maybe I'll have to bake some "special" donuts and bait them.
  15. Well I just about dropped a little brown bear reading this and here's the quote for everyone's info that likes to make fishing more fun. Cannabis / Marijuana Since October 2018, the Cannabis Act (Bill C-45) has legalized and regulated the sale and use of cannabis everywhere in Canada. Provinces have separate regulations for cannabis sales. Rules are similar to alcohol - you cannot carry Cannabis on a boat unless it's used as a temporary or permanent living space, and you can't consume it (smoking, vaping, eating) in a vehicle or boat while it is under way. Officers may use drug recognition techniques to determine if a boater is impaired and can request a blood, urine or oral fluid sample for testing. THC levels of 2-5 nanograms per millilitre of blood can receive a fine up to $1,000. Drivers who test above five nanograms (or above 2.5 nanograms combined with a blood-alcohol concentration above 50 milligrams) per 100 millilitres of blood would receive fines and mandated jail time for repeat offenders.
  16. Well you may as well chug a can of cold dishwater, probably get more of a buzz on.
  17. Keep the lakes a little safer. If you can't operate without, then don't operate.
  18. The same as a hen.
  19. I've had 2 of the digital ones, one for big salmon and a smaller one, both still working well, change the 9v battery every couple years.
  20. Green Canoe eh?
  21. No problem I've got one.
  22. Check any pharmacy or Walmart, here too, https://www.amazon.ca/Conair-tc2bc-Butane-Refill-Cartridges/dp/B00006ISER
  23. $3544.00 CDN, add another 30-35% for exchange.
  24. Seriously, with the money exchange rate that would be the last thing I'd do. Secondly, a lot of manufactures will not honour warranty across the border, then you'd have to take it al the way bad, not a chance.
  25. Well for some people there is no limit to extreme. While f/f may show the fish, they don't put them on the hook. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. ?
