  1. Cool! That's a nice fish scale in the pic! LOL
  2. Our DNR shows both here and in Lake Erie, so I assume they could be anywhere down flow? Around 10-15 miles south of me is the great divide between the drainage systems for the great lakes and Mississippi, for me it seems weird to see streams and rivers heading south.
  3. Preventive Maintenance? Nice work!
  4. Besides common shiners you also have these? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Striped_shiner A size 12 hook with the barb flattened and a maggot or tiny piece of worm will catch them.
  5. http://wildlife.ohiodnr.gov/species-and-habitats/species-guide-index/fish/spottail-shiner According to our department of natural resources, they are the second most common bait fish in Lake Erie.
  6. They can grow to that size for sure, good bass bait here.
  7. That site has some cool videos! Gobies raiding a bed within 34 seconds of a bass pulled off it?
  8. http://www.baitnet.com/search.php?action=statelist&state=ON&orderby=name&submit=List%2Ball%2Bshops%2Bin%2BOntario Not sure of how accurate this list may be, but it may help?
  9. Thanks, I used to catch a lot of my own bait, can't recall ever seeing those.
  10. LOL, I always forget that distance issue you folks have to deal with.
  11. Mud Minnows? A regional name? are those fathead minnows? It's hard to get emerald shiners too far away from Lake Erie here in Ohio, most bait stores away from Lake Erie sell fatheads, just my experience that they aren't worth buying. If the bait stores along the lakefront are having trouble getting emerald shiners here they will sell fatheads.
  12. We need to see a fish off for a winner?
  13. Glad to hear you had a safe trip, it would have been nice with better results?
  14. No ice, no snow, got our annual tree seedling purchase from the county soil and conservation league Friday and 40 seedlings in the ground. My son spotted a nesting female mallard in our field with eggs in the nest.
  15. http://www.starbrite.com/category/wax-polish I used their products on my SeaRay.
  16. A pretty looking place! My drag was set the same as yours for 12-13 inch bass.
  17. http://fox8.com/2017/04/20/flooding-fiasco-cleanup-continues-at-sams-club-in-brooklyn-and-surrounding-businesses/ Some pretty bad flooding in the general area here, and storm warnings are out again, Lake Erie and the tribs might be a special shade of brown? Ohio made the change to a closed season some years ago too, strictly catch and release on Lake Erie until late June. Pulling them of their beds during the spawn seems like it would do more harm than pre spawn?
  18. This time of year was also the time for some hot action in Ohio waters, 50+ bass days! Some pretty serious thunderstorms in the Cleveland area yesterday evening, and more expected today. Hope Akri got out of Ohio without any issues!
  19. Enjoy it Brian! I got sick just when my son was reaching an age I felt was safe for him to involved in some real adventures!
  20. Glad there aren't any big critters here, well except coyotes and deer, don't want him getting himself in trouble, the other wandering dogs are enough. He is not that much of a wuss, he has no problem attacking neighbor's alpha labradoodle if he gets a chance. Funny they have 5 - 6 dogs, that is the only one he has an issue with.
  21. LOL, when your human has to point out rabbits to you? It's time to go indoors?
  22. Only if other alpha dogs don't invade his space. LOL
  23. LOL, the cats we had could catch other animals, 11 years now and he strikes out every time! He did try surrounding a groundhog once, and seemed upset that it didn't want to play!
  24. LOL, unlike some of us he is smart enough to get out of the rain? A Boston, he doesn't like getting dirty either.
