vinyl, vinyl, vinyl, yes it easy to clean but i dont find it very quiet or cozy nothing beats kicking off the old shoes on a nice day and walking on the carpet feels cozy.i guess it come down to preference.ive got vinyl in the back near the battery area but carpet in the front floor.plan on using carpet for my back bench and new casting deck im building.i got carpet from home depot fish and ski carpet but the store i went to no longer has it so i went to a carpet joint around the corner had some real nice indoor out door its gonna cost me about 200 bucks.unless you store your boat inside i recomend getting a cover its easier to replace a cover than carpet the sun wreaks havoc on it.carpet isnt to hard to clean if u go to the car wash or have a pressure washer.the only time i dont like carpet is after a week in the bush pike fishing.but after that its bass fishing for me,and all those sweet bass boats cant be wrong they all have carpet.happy construction cant wait to see the finale.i will try to post pics of mine since im remodelling her already got most of the supplies got a sweet pedastal for the front this mornin from bps waiting on some 5/8 ply from a friend then im gonna start.

Need Tips: Pike Fishing in August in Northern Ontario
addict replied to canadianguy33's topic in General Discussion
not sure where to fish it will depend on the temperature.we took a mix bag of lures to the far north in the spring.blue x rap worked wonders caught lots of numbers plus the big fish of the trip 20 plus lbs. clown pattern x-rap worked well for both walleye and pike.silver williams wabler around 3" was on fire for numbers snap the lure erratic and aggressive.and lets not forget good old riplin redfin this is a great choice for pike they cant help themselves.those where our main lures but we got them on just about any minnow immitator.seeing how its later than we went bigger baits might be your bet.happy hunting those gators. -
save your dough and get a newer motor. earlier this week i was asking questions about fixing a 1992 trolling motor was given good advice not to restore an antique. to bite the bullet and get some newer technology one thats lighter quieter more fuel efficient and faster this is probally a good idea for yourself.unless your emotionally attached to that old girl id upgrade.

those weather guys are usually wrong.the only thing they usually predict is very large storms.nice work on those kings.pretty soon they will be close to the piers where i and my cleo can get a stab at a few.

you guys are right.this would have been a quik fix,but the money tied up in in would pay for part of the new one.just cant afford the new one this season and i cant fish another day in my rig without a motor cant wait till my friend gets back from the rock and i can fish in his rig till i ge mine.was looking into the edge bow mount line up anybody got feed back on these, from my understanding they are the meat and taters not as fancy as the maxum series.

a friend of mine has a minnkota turbo pro 712 power drive trolling motor.42lb thrust 45 inch shaft.its missing the foot control and the power plug connector.looked on the internet for info.i believe the model is from 1992,and i think it is a 12volt system because it only has 2 power cables black for ground and red for juice.want to now more about this thing to find out if its worth my time and money,he said hed sell it for 50-100 bucks if i can use it.want to know if theres a way to test if it works and where can i find a foot control and power cord.also are the power drve models as good and easy as the cable drive ones.my friend has a maxum cable drive and its sweet easy to deploy use and its durable but there pricey.im cheap and pondering over the old one any and all info would be handy thanks.

had the day off so went out to the rice.weather was hot fishing was tuff.went out in my boat with broken fishfinder and my trolling motor is cooked.so my fishing is limited to drifting or anchoring not the most productive way to fish but i managed a few.when the bite got slow i attempted to paddle and try to pitch and flip bullrushes.this was to tiring but i did get one on the jig and pig all other fish came on chase baits.cant wait to get a bow mount motor.here are a couple pics i was able to upload with my crappy computer.got about half a dozen of these guys here are a few fish im stuck with for life
